Let's be having the excuses then.
None. I was firmly in the Silva needs time camp but that was appalling. Literally a clueless performance, same as last week if not worse. Same mistakes, nothing created up top. The fact he thought putting on more strikers would solve the issue when we werent creating chances for strikers to finish in the first place says it all. We could have had Kane and Aguero up front and still not scored. Wide players constantly pinging balls at the first man, sigurdsson joining the crab crew. Nah.

Silva looked beat at full time, had that same arms folded clueless look as Martinez did at the end. If he goes I'm not arsed, league ambitions for the season are over for us 5 games in. Pathetic really but speaks volumes about where we are in reality. Fragile, weak, leaderless and utterly devoid of quality when it really matters. Same old same old. I ain't staying up and watching this turd anymore, 5 years in aus doing this since moving from the UK, going to work with 3 hours sleep to watch everton but this garbage ain't worth it. We are a bit of a pointless club at the moment.

Hope Mosh pulls the trigger tonight. Let’s get on with the inevitable.

Not if they didn't sort a replacement first. We were turning into a laughing stock trying to replace Koeman. I don't think Unsworth should ever be put through being manager again. Even for one game.

Not for knee-jerk reactions and sacking someone after a few bad results, although I have never been won over by Silva's appointment I have backed him to get us playing decent football. Trouble is we've forgotten how to defend and that lack of defensive solidity feeds forward throughout the team. Midfielders who are confident in their defence play with more freedom and attacking mentality. Our zonal marking still seems a mess. The reason Moyes got good results starts with the fact he built a solid defensive unit and then our midfielders had the confidence to push forward. Not sure what the answer is regarding sticking with/getting rid of Silva at this early stage but if change was to come I'd love to see Arteta with Moyes as his assistant / mentor to build a properly organised defense and allow our midfield to play.

Next 3 games

Man City H
Sheffield Wednesday A
Burnley A

It'll be Burnley away that will see him gone.

If Moshiri had bottle it would be tonight- gives us a week to look at candidates and take the city beating under Unsworth then appoint the new bloke just before the Sheff Wed game.

But no it will be peak Everton to wait until we are knocked out the cup and too far behind the top 6/7 before making a change.

You can account for a couple of them performances in the season and just say one of them days.

We've had 3 in the last 4 games ( villa Bournemouth and today )

All 3 of them absolutely disgusting. Silva needs to get in the bin

And take half that team with him

Even if they did do the right thing and sacked the pretender the board would probably make a hostile bid for Chris Wilder as he's had a decent start to the season, it'd be par for the course. Surely a proven manager with a great CV is not out of Evertons reach is it?

No more one hit wonders or we may as well stick with this loser.

What we have missed for so long is a manager who drives a team on. When was the last time we had someone who got results through passion over the players ability? The way klopp has the kopites over performing every week, the confidence and fight that guadiola gives city etc

We have lacked it for so long .

The biggest issue that Silva seems to have is that is players management is poor . It has potential sure , but we are playing 11 players rather than a team, noone plays for a specific role, same as last season. Siggurdson isn't the catalyst for our attack, the front 3 don't link up well. The 2 holding means we leave a big gap in the middle (as always) and the lack of depth at the back means we have very little in the way of changing shape.

Partly due to the transfer activity of the past several seasons to be blamed here but Silva is struggling with making a cohesive team. Only when we get momentum do we see results but right now, it's looking as bad as it did 2 seasons ago. The way we play is looking as bad as Martinez last season, it just isn't good enough for a club that has top internationals on the pitch every week.

Time to go.

We’ve seen this movie before, several times, we know how it ends. Things won’t get better, we’ll limp on like this for a number of weeks until eventually things get so bad he gets the chop, by which time the season is over.

Let’s act now whilst there some hope of turning things around, let’s not wait until we’re out of the cups. For once, FOR ONCE, let’s be bold and decisive.
