Unfortunately despite the good job he did for several years here, he has been found out at other places. His stock is low for a reason.

Besides, never go back. Second spells rarely produce positive outcomes for the player/manager and club.

Fans wouldn’t need to panic if the players could be trusted to perform. They can’t though. That’s why fans get nervous when easy fixtures cause problems because they know that these players do not perform away from home and cannot win against top teams away from home. When they start losing to newly promoted sides at home then alarm bells start ringing. It’s up to the manager and players to change that. The fans have been criticised enough recently by managers, fans and the media but we pack out away sections up and down the country and have started giving the players bear pit welcomes for every single home game. How is it the fans fault if the players can’t peform even with all that?

I hate the idea of blaming the fans and am on record on here saying it loads of times.

I do think there's some truth in what @okellypj is saying though. We do seem to panic at the first sign of things not going to plan now, with multiple threads about sacking the manager and the players being an absolute disgrace being set up just 5 games into the season. This continues at the game, where people seemed to be just waiting for things to go wrong from the first whistle on Saturday. It's certainly not the fault of the fans, but we probably don't help sometimes, we give off a constant vibe of crisis even when things are just mediocre.

Last week we had 7 points from 5 games, it was pretty much the definition of mediocre, but you could have been forgiven for thinking we'd lost every game we'd played from some of the comments on here.

Yes obviously the unrest comes from the fact we're not doing well. I just think there's some truth in the point that we have developed a habit of pressing the panic button when we don't really need to. I remember having conversations in here a couple of seasons ago when people were absolutely convinced we were going down. We were literally like 9th at the time and people were consistently arguing that we were the worst team in the league. It's weird.
