He picks the manager and dictates a style/philosophy and picks a manager to enforce/compliment that.

Really surprised how many don't seem to grasp his role - he's not just the guy who signs players.

Marcel Brands will determine when Silva's time is up, and who will replace him.

The end is near now. Much like it was with Koeman and Martinez Goodison will turn on him and the club will sack him for the wrong reasons. the style would equal something like fast counter attacking football, not the actual formation and shoehorning that useless Icelandic tit into the team
