People were saying the same last season and then we went on a run towards the end of the season where we outplayed several teams above us in the league.

If you give them an objective then you give them a chance to meet it, especially when you rubbed up an opposing club and spent a fortune installing Allardyce as a stop gap for that person. The directors either back the person they bent over backwards to get or they don't. We're a joke otherwise.

Much better to blow £200 million and then sack coaches every season, coz that's worked wonders for us hasn't it? A distinct lack of balls being displayed in here. I know it's the social media instant gratification age and all, but this is frankly toys out of the pram stuff.
That little run papered over the cracks of what was a pretty gash season on the whole. And is hat the best we should hope for, be crap for two thirds of a season before finishing strong

We're already a joke at the moment, so why change? As for my point, if they carry on doing the same thing...what do you do?

This is Silva's team now. He had his transition period and did better at this point last season as he tried to find his footing.

He has now. What's he doing to change his fortune? Nothing.

We have to stick by some manager some day, it may as well be Silva, who we KNW can get some great results.

Anyway, he will be given a bit more time, so why not back him?

Maybe because of this.

Will be sacked tomorrow hopefully while the season is still salvageable and good riddance to him.

Performances can improve though. If collectively so many better players are underperforming then it's not the individual player that is at fault.

I mean sure, the German lad, iwobi, Delph , sidebe are unknown quantity at the minute. So none of us can say if they are improvements but whilst the team as a whole are massively underperforming then it's hard to come off looking good.
When at this club are we going to just soley round on the cowards who sit in that dressing room who WONT put their head in to defend a ball properly and who clock off when the GP crowd gets at them? When?

The players are hopeless. One thing I give Moyes credit for is that he assessd their characters before buying. Maybe Brands could actually do the sole job he has properly and assess the ones he buys?

Made a point to a fellow blue last week which is kinda scary.

Jagielka was club captain, despite hardly getting onto the pitch. Deputy was baines, who was dropped and replaced. Now club captain is Coleman who surely has to be dropped and replaced now.

Even the leaders on the pitch are not good enough to actually make the team , what chance have we got?

Lack of balls??? lol

Absolute tosh.

The only lack of gut is from the board and hierarchy who keep tolerating abject failure. We had fans celebrating a 3-1 loss last week. What on earth is going on???

How long do you suggest waiting? Another 30 years?

Thing is mate, we are 18th after a relatively easy start to the league. We all got behind them last season and we looked decent, he was backed in the summer with some decent signings and we have gone backwards at an alarming rate. The warning signs were there in preseason when we were struggling to break down league 2 teams. The next 2 weeks of looking at that league table will do him no good either. The fans want blood and we tend to get what we want in the end.
That just isn't true though, is it?

He was handed tat and had his best defensive player sold on him...and had a hole left where a CB should be.

That argument stood 2 managers ago. We keep changing the players and getting the same results.

When we are sacking managers whilst replacing the players then those two points don't correlate. You can't blame the players all the time when their manager is getting sacked, last 3 managers sacked and Silva now waiting to be.

I agree the players do need to put a shift in , absolutely. But as the stats show, Silva as manager doesn't have a team fight for him. That's as much a sign about his ability than anything else.
