He'll probably get the season and the board will make a decision in summer depending on positional finish and performance unless it goes really sour but the league is so CACK at the moment that we've somehow managed to lose 4 games in a row and not be in the relegation zone.

The most frustrating thing is places in the top 4 are there for grabs this year and what do we do, bottle it from the get go.

There’s your problem there.

The fact that the teams at the top are rubbish is making everyone’s expectations unrealistic.

I still think we won’t be far off a top 4 finish and we will qualify for Europe but it was widely accepted it would take Silva 2 or 3 years to sort out the mess.

Due to the excellent progression he made last season many fans seem to forget we’re still only 18 months into the rebuild.

If he hadn’t lost 2 key players last summer I expect we’d have been a lot closer now but he’s shown more than enough to be given time and our support.

Changing the Manager again now is like pressing the self destruct button. Thankfully the people and the top and the players are fully behind him, the fans need to stay with them as well and I think the match going fans are.

I don't have unreal expectations, I'm merely pointing out that only 2 teams are guaranteed top 4, or am I wrong? We have spent a large amount of money again. It's not unrealitsic to want to be challenging a top 6 that contains 4 teams in disarray.

It's not unrealistic to be frustrated when it appears that league is so open this year, we're fifteenth in the table and we have only just came out of the relegation zone.

If you look up the table, we've got Sheffield United, Villa, Bournemouth, West Ham, Burnley and Palace all above us, which paints its own picture.

Yes it's only early in the season and every team goes through purple patches and downturns, but how poor we have performed is nothing short of disgraceful.

I'm not going to get carried away as West Ham were poor and it's only one victory: my expectations are that we should be in the top half, and we're not.

We haven’t spent a large amount of money in comparison to our rivals. Silva himself said at the start of the season that he didn’t think we were starting with a stronger team than the one that finished last year however right now we sit level with United, 2 points behind Spurs.

It’s not over with by any means and we’ve been in disarray early in the season for various reasons, some of which Silva is responsible for.

Our good run started at the start of March last season. If this is starting now, mid October, then there is no ceiling as to where we could finish however I am prepared to give him the time he needs even if it isn’t.

What's that got to do with you saying I have unrealistic expectations? We have dropped the ball, Utd,Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs are reeling, we could and should take advantage but we are worse than those 4. He has lost 20 games in his time here, won 22 drawn 11 or along those lines, that's not good enough for Everton football club.

You question why I think you have unrealistic expectations and then in the next sentence go on to tell me we should be above Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Spurs many who spent much more than us in this summer alone and that is despite starting from a much higher base than Marco was when he inherited a complete and utter mess only 18 months ago.

There it is right there, just look at that again.

I didn't say we should be above them, you are making things up, I said they are in disarray, pretty sure that means that they aren't playing well, not sure how it translates to we should be above them but there you go, carry on.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you feel the same after the Brighton game.

They’re above us because they beat us apart from palace who got a point and westham obviously

I think it’s highly unlikely that any manager could transform a habitual mid table side into a Champions League team in 1 season and two months.

But at the same time, losing 20 of those games is just as bad the other way, you can't justify 20 losses in just over a season, no chance, it's diabolical form.
