I'm like @davek here, I think the squad needs Moyes' military (and tactical) discipline.

Would far rather have him than Silva.

But really Brands should earn his pennies and get Van Gaal in.
Hated the way Moyes left us. In talks with United in January. Could have signed a deal with Everton and then when United came calling we would have got some compo.
On the plus point he took some dross off us when he managed Sunderland.
For me appoint till end of season. He will get us organised. Gives us time to get a experienced good manager in

I think this is a very sensible, pragmatic view of it all.

Moyes doesn't just know where all the furniture goes. He is part of the furniture. A very comfy sofa.

Come home David.

It is getting very tiresome now all of this blaming VAR for us not winning enough games. There have always been dodgy and incorrect decisions from match officials for many years i.e a long time before VAR came in. Nothing has changed, never been any different and Managers have always tried to use it as an excuse for losing. We have been on the receiving end of many poor decisions pretty much every season for as many years as i can remember and so have a lot of other teams. Granted the top teams may get an easier ride sometimes but that has always been the case too.

The reality is and always has been that you have to find ways to win matches regardless of things going against you and we are exactly were we deserve to be because we have been nowhere near good enough.

Lose or draw today and i cannot see any way that he can survive. It will be 12 points from 12 games (if we draw) with just 3 wins, no away wins since last March, being unable to beat relegation fodder and sitting 4th from bottom. With a 2 week break upon us too, his time will almost certainly be up.

So their plan is to replace Silva with either Hughes, a proven failure everywhere he’s been, or Moyes, a man who has done nothing of note for a decade and who bottled almost every big away game against decent teams during his entire reign, right before our hardest run of the season.

Have we not suffered enough after Allardyce? If this happens I’ll probably just stop watching as it proves that they don’t care. Not a stretch to say relegation beckons.

Moyes pretty much falls under the “good & experienced” category for me. If we get him he’ll end up staying.

Only Everton could spunk 300m on players , god knows how much paying managers off, just to end up back where they started before Moshiri joined us. Truly depressing.

EDIT: meant to quote the post above yours soz

There’s a difference, Allardyce was brought in to do a specific job, his trademark job. Mark Hughes doesn’t have a trademark job, he isn’t even a relegation firefighter, he’s just a man that gets sacked.

Mr and Mrs Hughes, and Mr and Mrs Moyes(certainly in the first case, and allegedly in the second case) have substantial property portfolios and consequently any management jobs that Mark H or David M take could in some ways be called 'a hobby'....which for me puts them out of the running for a job at Everton.

Unfortunately we said that before the last international break and nothing happened. My feeling is we have to be in the relegation places and out of the Cup before they sack him; sad state of affairs.
