As a player I respected Mark Hughes. He was a great striker and scored many goals (exept for us that is) in his career. I didnt rate him as a manager at Blackburn and thought he was mediocre. Now that he's with shitty I've lost the plot with him. Surely he cant keep knocking on doors with truck loads of money after being told no deal by the club and still he tries to unsettle the player right before the start of a new season. I dont think he'll get any resect from the players he signs. Its the money that gets respect at the end of the day. I've just about had it with him and hope his season falls apart in front of his very eyes. Maybe his ploy is to weaken the teams around him by taking their better players thus giving his Middle Eastlands mercenaries a better chance of finishing above them. Go away Hughes. We hear you knockin but you cant come in. Am pissed of with his gung ho attitude over signings and wish he'd take no for an answer. Just my rant sorry guys an gals.
 
I agree, Mark Hughes and City will be the laughed at by every team if they dont finish in the top 5. One of the most hated team in the league and its not jealousy. I would rather work ourselves to the top and not to be throught of the team with the rich owners who brought their way to the top!
 
Wait my friend, we're about six weeks away from the media getting their claws into him - looking forward to it persoanly.

Im surprised he didnt bring some of his expeirence with Blackburn and being hard up into the City job - he lack class and dignity now and IMO has gathered a deep dislike amongst his fellow managers and other clubs that has no doubt ruined a very promising career.

Like i say give it six weeks and we will see how keen he is to talk to the press, dont think he is making all the signings there if im honest.

Ive said before the worst thing that could have happened Martk Hughes and possibly City as a club is getting taken over - he could have done a really good job there.

When`s that? when all the players they have just brought are in their 30`s. By then they will have to go out again and spend another 100 mill. They could have brought some kids and brought them on. The money men wont wait three years

Not with their current squad. They don't have the defence for it.

And if they have to wait 3 years.. Hughes isn't there anymore. He's been fired.


I agree with Alwaysablue reasoning though.

I do actually think many fans from other clubs would prefer a club with a limited transferfund finish high in the league compared to a team that spend big. If for no other reason than to be able to think that.. "If they can do it without having a rich backer. Why can't we?" I know I like it when "poor" clubs in other leagues manage to finish higher than rich clubs do.
 

Yeah, awful defence like.

Zabaleta, Richards, Onuoha, Toure, Dunne, Bridge. Wow, that's awful that.
 
I do not hate Manchester City never have done even though they bricked my mini . But Mark Hughes needs to shut it . Hes just making it worse for himself when he does eventually get found out .
 
He is only doing what any other manager would do in his place.
City are not in the champions league so he has to pay over the odds and overpay players there is not a lot wrong with that

What's it got to do with us? Richards is top quality, Zabaleta is also a great right back.

Bridge, over priced but isn't at all crap. Onuoah is a good defender, and Toure, just class.

If they get Upson ( over rated ) but good defender, they will have one of the best defences in the League -

If your telling me a defence of Zabaleta Richards Toure Bridge isn't good enough, then :huh:
