Disagree on both counts, mate.
1) Martinez has a superior playing style (when it comes off). He's also won the FA Cup and reached semis of a few tournaments. We'll always have 72 points. It's pretty obvious England fluked their run to the semis, while Belgium knocked out Brazil quite convincingly (and that's a Brazil who looked far superior to the emotionally-chaotic side who got thrashed by Germany 4 years prior) and beat England twice without conceding.
That's a lot more than slightly better. Southgate has much to prove still.
2) Different yes, but I know you meant it to mean international coaching is an inferior standard to club coaching. It's not true in a technical-quality sense. It's a different discipline, but not inferior/superior. It's only inferior (i.e. less) in a workload/logistical sense. We have plenty of examples of high-end successful club coaches who failed when they tried their luck internationally: Capello for one. Trapattoni, Clemente, even Alex Ferguson.
Martinez. Only slightly better than Gareth southgate.
Both managers got club teams relegated from the premier league.
Different standard of coaching internationally.
Cup competitions come with too many variables for them to be used as accurate barometers. That's why anything less than lifting the trophy is generally worthless to teams that aren't so outgunned that simply being there is an achievement in and of itself.
Martinez had a shining moment with the tactical switch-up against Brazil, but I very much doubt that Belgium fans will see that as vindication of him being handed the keys to their golden generation.
Haha - I thought that was an ad banner at first, you rascal.
Is this the Vermaelen who got just one start in the whole WC campaign (the one with Belgium's third string starting in the match against England that no one wanted to win) and was completely overlooked by WorldCupBobby? Some home truths from Thomas Vermaelen prior to the defeat by France:
"For us to finally be able to knock out a formidable opponent (Brazil) is because of the experience we’ve picked up at previous tournaments and also the development of our players at their clubs.”
Disappointed he gives no credit there to 'our Bobby'.
"We want desperately to get to the final and go on and win because if it doesn't happen it will forever be a disappointment."
I'm sure that, beneath the smiles, many others from the 'golden generation' will realise that in losing to a still developing French team they blew the best chance Belgium will ever have of winning the World Cup.

Fancy that eh?
Lol.
Bodies all over the place here.
Looks like Henry will be quitting this clown soon.
He's been learning at the feet of a master tactician. "The Boss" as Henry calls him.
I think hes thought "My God what a clown this fella is, any idiot can do a better job than him and he got 10m off Everton for failing"
