Reading United's statement, there's nuance in what they said.

"Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged. That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for."

For me, that is not United saying that he hasn't committed an offence, but rather on the balance of probability he isn't guilty of the crimes he was charged for.

I suspect it's to do with the most severe of the charges that he originally faced, with the recording alone not meeting the threshold for attempt.

Same with Greenwood's comments: it's not him saying he has not done anything, but rather he is not admitting those charges.

It'd be pretty darn stupid of him to do so, to be fair, as that would be the evidence to recharge.

I was commenting on Greenwood's comment " I've been cleared of all charges ", Phil. He hasn't.

She probably will, its standard cycle, hit her, she leaves for a while, he comes back promising he gonna change, few months of peace and then rinse and repeat.

Especially dangerous if victim doesn't have someone who gonna support/help her like a decent parents or siblings.

Sadly I know from my former life as a divorce lawyer that the cycle that you have described is accurate.
Will that leopard change his spots ? Probably not.
 
I hope this doesn’t become a scenario, in regards to which club will offer a contract first. As soon as one does I can sadly see others will follow suit and then the horrid news will get forgotten about and brushed a side… hoping for a Goodwillie outcome

I know it because that describes my mom, she stayed 5 years with my "father" and gone through exactly that until she finally mustered enough courage to leave.
I was 2 when we left so i don't remember much, but my sister who is 3 year older does unfortunately.

Only time when our dad tried to visit us i was 6 and she 9 and she wet herself in fear of seeing him, that was reaction that parent provoked to his child.
