I see people only focusing on his game last night.
But not the previous 3 or 4 where they raved about him.
Weird lot some Everton fans.
Forum is rife with confirmation bias

....he’s in the shop window along with other loanees.
If you've seen him more and want to contextual the debate then I would imagine most are all ears / eyes.I see people only focusing on his game last night.

Why weird? Not much point in having a forum following a player if all you do is focus on how he played 3 games ago and ignore his game last night. On the “Loans” thread WBA fans who previously praised him said he was poor , along with a number of others. Must be a ‘Weird lot” too I guess.I see people only focusing on his game last night.

To be honest 90% of our squad is in the shop window lol
2 things which count for him are our lack of centre backs next season and also Coleman going off a cliff...thirdly hes english which is important for the squad rules.
Wouldnt be surprised it he stayed but also would take £10mil+ for him.
...he’s a first team squad member who the manager has chosen to send on loan. I think that says lots.
Not sure as we have 5 CBs including him and 3 RBs...
So may have just felt he needed game time?

In terms of that very same context, WBA are a defensive, counter attacking side where the full backs are tucked in next to the CBs.
Given we aren't, and the fact your positive view is probably borrowed from the media, this seems very "shooting in the dark" from you. Which is of no surprise.

....not for me, Zat. If you’re a manager you use the players you truly rate. You don’t send a RB on loan if you think he’s better than Kenny.
I have a view that 1st team squad players who go on loan are in the shop window.
Well, in the summer we will only have Keane and Mina as our centre backs (Jags contract expired + Zouma loan ending).
So, If Holgate was in the shop window as such, then you'd expect us to sell him and sign 2 new CBs?
At right back we have (lets say) Coleman, Kenny and Holgate. It appears to me as though we need either Holgate or Kenny to step into a starting spot or we need to sign a new player (most likely) and sell 2 of the 3.
What do you think will happen in those 2 positions.
Well out of all the names you mention in this post Holgate is the only 1 I would keep.
Im not saying Keane and Mina are bad, hell we dont even know what Mina is yet, but if we are honest we can do better.
But by the same token we need a RB, cos quite frankly Seamus isnt the same player and im not totally convinced by JJK or Holgate at RB.
But then we dont need 3 RBs, so if anything that would mean Coleman or JJK would be moved on, logic suggests we would move Coleman on and retain JJK, due to him having potential, but I cant see where Coleman would move to.
I would be keeping Holgate, unless we got a good offer, cos as you say, we will only have 2 CBs in the Summer and I cant see us buying 2 new CBs personally.
Holgate can play RB and CB. He's a perfect bench player. Simple as that.
The Club can't lose on these deals...if you ignore all the money spent out on the player up to then obvs.Scored tonight. Think he's enjoying his time in the Midlands.
