This. I cant believe more on here haven’t vented on this. He was hiding on that first goal. Why? Surely hes not scared to head the ball. It came right too him and he ducked out of it. Should never wear the shirt again after such cowardice as the far post anchor in that bank of 4 that must’ve been previously purposely selected and practiced on the training ground.
He'll play every game from now until the end of the season mate. Disgraceful, but very realistic. It's a big reason why we'll go down.

Why doesn't he try and head the ball for Burnley 1st goal? It's like he ducks out of it.

And the 2nd after Kenny is beaten he should get over properly/faster and stop the cross coming in
Just watched the low lights of the match and was just going to post the same for their second goal. Think he must have forgot he was playing in midfield as he ran back to take up a CH position. If he’d simply ran to the goal line he would have intercepted the run.

Ive noticed a habit he's developed in keeping his arms too close to his body. Dont know whether it's a subconscious thing he's developed to avoid giving a handball pen away but it doesn't help him at all, especially with all the buffeting etc going on in the box like last night. Additionally, he didn't/couldnt even move for crosses much so couldn't get height elevation anyway.

Of course, this has no bearing on his other foibles, him being partial to : challenging teammates for the same ball...passing 6ft or so ahead / behind /either side of a teammate...'cant be arsed passing' - straight to the opposition and, ironically, 'can be arsed passing' - but unfortunately with the same result. Like with all the other players prone to lethal errors, these habits seemingly neither picked up at nor ironed out at Finch Farm. As you sow, so shall you reap....an' all tha'.

Keeps his feet too close to Goodison Park.

100% first goal stands there and let’s them have a free header. Second, Kenny gets beaten but Holgate can cut it off if he just runs out diagonally to the ball - he just runs straight to the six yard box and allows their player unchallenged to play the ball across the box. Terrible awareness, decision making, positioning.

Just to remind everyone, this is a genuine quote from last week:

“There was talk of an England call a couple of years ago and that is something I hope will resurface in the next couple of seasons, when we’re winning games and travelling in the right direction.”

Absolutely Mason, if Southgate was watching v West Ham and last night I’m sure he’s thinking you’re the final piece of his World Cup jigsaw. Tuned to the moon.

Just shows how delusional players are, trouble is they surround themselves with 'yes' men who tell them what ever they want as it means free nights out, free holidays and loads of shag's from the girls hoping for a night with the player.

Not only that. He got in the way of the defender coming out to head the second ball
