Mason Holgate

I'd give him a go in the centre. A bit of youthful exuberance alongside Williams would be refreshing.

I think the Norwich game may have put Koeman off playing him in a two mate.

He was exposed and that in turn left Williams exposed.

I think play him in a three - in a change in system - and we may get some results.

He has the pace, and he is capable of playing the ball out from the back - something we desperately need.

Got to get Galloway back in Jan and play him and Holgate either side of Williams...

I like the lid, he's my kind of CH, but I really think mori deserves a run, I don't rate that clogger williams though, so maybe Holgate will come in as well eventually, once we sack koeman

We need Williams in a 3 man defence with holgate and galloway (or mori) either side of him so he can bark at them...

3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2 could be the way to go. If we sign Depay we could see a massive difference in our attacking in that formation.

------------------------stek

----------Holgate-------Williams-------Galloway

deulofeu -- gueye - new signing/barkley/davies -- bolasie

----new signing/barkley------depay
------------------lukaku

we'd have width plus two players helping out lukaku centrally. would be cool if we played 3412 also with a top striker to inspire lukaku and depay behind them. I hope depay is a done deal.

Agree on him not being 'ready' for CB at Prem level mate.

But I think in a three it will work.

We desperately - and I mean desperately - need to change the system to get us supporting Rom more, somehow.

If that means three at the back, with a four/five man midfield and two/three forwards, that's fine by me.

I'd drop both Baines and Jags at the moment tbf

I'd put in Funes Mori and Oviedo instead though, with Pennington coming for Funes Mori once fit again

Oviedo though Mikey.

I love him, but he's not up to scratch.

Funes yeh, get him in but, that being said, I don't trust him either.

Pennington will be a long way off with that injury. You're looking at April/May time at the earliest I reckon.

Deulofeu and Bolasie as wing-backs? :D

Bloody hell man...

Oviedo can't do any worse than Baines at the moment and he's our only other real option at lb while Galloway is in the midlands

I don't trust Funes Mori either, but I'd rather him in there than playing RB Holgate out of position

Not sure on Brownings progress from injury, but I'd be plugging him in while we wait for Pennington to heal up. I'd immediately put Pennington in the first xi once fit. Our young player most ready imo

Have you seen Baines in the last two games?

We looked better with Oviedo in, and we have little else to choose from at lb

Holgate, Kenny and Jones are at RB, browning and Pennington are cb

Either we play someone out of position, stick with Baines or stock Bryan in. The third option there is the best option

Just saying to Toff, if in 10 (I should have said 5 really) games Baines is still tosh then absolutely - knives are out. The lad though has only just got back from 2 months out though.

Oviedo, whilst seemingly a nice bloke, is absolutely terrible.

Agree about the others though - Coleman has no excuse and should be benched.
