He was outstanding tonight. It's about time we see him with Keane, but not sure Keane is the leader we need back tnere.

The discipline he showed after being wrongly booked was superb. Pocketed Abraham with utter ease.

Another thing i love about the lad is the fact that when it kicks off he's always one of the first over to back up our player.

Great again last night. For those saying we need to drop Williams though as much as Williams is the weak leak in the middle, Holgate himself has said how important Williams has been for him and how close they are so I would leave them together for now at least. I have been an advocate of signing Ben Mee to partner Keane as I have said that centrebacks should be a working partnership but at the minute Sam has got the whole back four working as a unit. In terms of centre backs Mason is the first name on the teamsheet now though, which is astonishing considering he started the season still playing right back and people had doubts over his ability to play in a pairing rather than a three. Looks a very good premiership class centrehalf already and scary to think where he could end up.

It's funny isn't it, that players can be banned in retrospect, but perfectly good tackles that result in yellow cards (and could potentially lead to goals) cannot be recinded. The FA, corrupt as it gets.

This is what i thought yesterday, but as you say, wether Keane has the leadership skills to help an inexperienced lad through the game is another thing.
I think Williams is helping him alot in terms of learning the position, i htink they are both pretty close off the pitch too
