Just like Rashford, Cavani and Sancho and Varane would have started if fit/not isolating.

Spot on, this.

Godfrey excellent today. Particularly enjoyed that roving run when he picked up the ball in his own half and dribbled through their whole midfield. Quality player and looking forward to him bossing it this season.

Happy for Dobbin to get a game, didn’t look too far off the pace either. Gray did well too.

Admire your positivity and I actually quite like Townsend but he won’t want to be missing too many opportunities like that!!
As for Iwobi getting into the box and pulling the ball back across the goal for Gray was about the best thing he did all game and he didn’t quite get that right. - sums him up really.
Penalty shout well that’s all it was and had we got it it would have been lucky.

On the way back from the match. I like many others were in the home end above the away section. Great performance and good fun from the Everton fans up there.
On to the game

No idea what the first half was about. Looked all over the place. Team was much better and settled after half time. Keane Coleman James Allan all very poor but I cannot believe how Lucas Digne gets away with being absolute rubbish for a while now. This is a guy who has a lot of ability but because he lobs in the odd cross and we sing about him, he seems to be excluded from any criticism.

I was impressed with all three signings over anyone else on the pitch. It wasn’t good yet we had numerous chances second half to get a respectable score line.

The team offered nothing. We've played miles better teams in the past and beaten them or at least avoided an embarrassing defeat. This lot didn't turn up. They haven't been turning up for years. There is a culture of underperformed at Everton that was knocked out of them by Moyed but has strolled right back in.

So far I've seen him be mildly effective against a dreadful Pumas side who played a chaotic high defensive line, and stinking average or below for the rest. He looks a guaranteed starter next week which sums up where we are currently.

He's a decent player but squad player it's a joke we will be starting with a free transfer and a 1.5 m winger next week. We may as well accept our 12th or 14th struggle here and get the season out of the way.
