Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

stubhub looks like the only option and theres no way im paying £100 a ticket. complete joke! one last throw of the dice anyone with 2 spares?
Don't pay them prices mate.

I'm half considering buying the most expensive one - turning up with a camera crew, filming the transaction and sticking it on Youtube.

If you tried to sell them on the street corner you would be arrested
Everton fans trying to rip off Everton fans, disgraceful
These are not fans mate... Don't know if SH will really catch on in the UK (maybe now with how many come over for matches from other countries) but the culture here in North America is different. I have used them a couple times, like going down to Dallas for a NFL game. When you are already paying $500+ for airfare, $150+ a night for hotel etc, to pay an extra $50 or $100 over face value just becomes part of the cost of the weekend unfortunately...... I have bought the same seats 3 years in a row, and when I look, the entire season is available for those seats, so the guy I buy from is not a fan, he's a tout..... The one good thing I will say about SH is unlike buying on the street, you know the tickets are legit

They must be season ticket holders so they are as bad as Kopites

If somebody bought a half season ticket for £350, sell a derby ticket for £500 and sell other games for face value or less than they are going to. Touts do it for a living and they don't even have to deal with the transaction. The tickets are re-sold by the club. The STH then gets paid via paypal.

I have used stubhub to sell tickets to a couple of matches that I haven't been unable to make, strictly face value or less mind and it has saved me a few bob.

Its when people abuse it that it becomes a problem and people rightly become annoyed.

Any Evertonians using stubhub to make a profit should be ashamed in my book.

I've also used it, but as a buyer. I've found it really useful for last minute games I can make, in the FA cup usually! I've always been given great prices and great seats sat by some really sound people for up to half the price sometimes!

But I've seen some outrageous prices like you say!

There should be an advert in the programme for people to advise on tickets they bought for high prices ... Club trace and don't sell to these people again ... Very wrong to sell for these prices

It always frustrates me people annoyed at stub hub. No tout in his right mind will buy a season ticket, and I'm 99% sure only season ticket holders can put tickets up there, on the off chance that one game a season he could sell the seat for 200 quid say. It's a fan who is putting it up there for that price, this same fan may put it up there 3 or 4 other times this season for games against spurs or villa at half the normal price, no one complains then. It's not as if you can buy a ticket for the game then just chuck it up there, it's only for ST holders.

If no one buys the ticket on there, this person will probably still go to the game, they're just chancing it to possibly finance their next season's season ticket. I'm assuming people wanting to use stubhub are not season ticket holders, hence they haven't pumped 500 odd quid into the club before a ball has been kicked... If someone has done that, they can do what they want with their ticket for the derby in my opinion as a non-STH.

and as for bringing a camera crew, stubhub is in conjunction with everton and they have a ticket office at the ground, not as if you're buying off some lad on a street corner.
