Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

Some pop up but you can’t get a sniff beating the bots on there. I’ve seen about 2-3 West Ham ones over the past few days but far too slow. Never going to beat a bot. That’s how the third party rip off sites are getting them. It’s called a ‘Ticketmaster spinner’ bot and there’s even an Everton specific one you can buy that grabs resale tickets and automatically buys them. Costs $1800 mind
Now that puts context into why when I've selected a resale ticket (probs the same wham resale one you saw), computer says no. Just thought my account was screwed or something

Exactly it mate. 2-3 will become available every day. Whenever the Home Fixture for West Ham or Arsenal has the “Show Availability” button means one has been listed and bought within the last 10 mins. The bot will have auto bought it as Ticketmaster / Everton have absolutely zero anti bot measures in place. The companies will snap up all resale tickets and the cost of the bot will easily be covered by a couple of tickets for one game. It’s a new problem and effectively making the resale platform pointless now

Your issue should be why you're paying £35 per person, per season, for access to a ticket lottery. Rather than with a season ticket holder, wondering why he doesn't have access to a resale platform to buy an ad hocs for their daughter or whatever. Remember, season ticket holders can pay £35 for additional membership to buy another ticket so this isn't about managing demand. It's a cashgrab.

I don't have any issue with paying £35 per person, per season for priority access to tickets and exclusive access to the resale site. It's throwaway money when spread over the season and it's served me very well - up until the last few games tickets have been very easy to get.

Last 2 games on sale WHU ARS, have been impossible. Waited for them to go on sale and sold out instantly. Wish I'd paid the £35 earlier on in the season. Fingers crossed I have better luck with Man City, but I doubt it.

I noticed it wasn’t a problem for the Man United game and although tickets did sell pretty fast, you could get them in your basket. The difference was that game specified purchase history from this and last season, so the membership accounts the bots are are using didn’t qualify. Thats the easy way to stop them.

it would make sense for hte final remaining fixtures to have a purchase history credit to buy a ticket

They should put the eligibility to a purchase history going back 3 - 5 years. If there's a child involved the person taking thems eligibility should be taken into account

They can though mate, they just have to pay £35 more.

That tells you it's all about the money - not fairness.

Priority windows to buy I can stomach, but restricting access to paid annual subscriptions to access resale, or transfer tickets to friend and family is piss poor.

For me, the crux of it for me is the club, no club, should be allowed to incentivise paid annual membership based on a lottery of ticket access, only if you pay an seasonal fee.

And this is why it's a terrible situation.

Been calling it out for 10+ years on here, since the club oversubscribed season ticket holders.

People often don't understand how bad it is - if I couldn't make West Ham, and wanted to transfer my ticket to you - you'd have to pay £35 to be allowed to receive that ticket. Insane. And your membership would only be valid for the rest of this season.

I become a fan because my dad was able to get tickets to the odd game - nowadays, that wouldn't happen. Long term, the club will lose fans if there's no accessibility for the casual match go'er. Other clubs cap season tickets less than ours, for good reason.
It was unbelievably stupid to sell ridiculous amount of season tickets in 2016. Stub hub provided a way for fans to get cheap tickets for reasonable price for most games, club shut that down, to get more money. Also the problem with having that many season ticket holders, is fans can't vote with their feet, which is what Moshiri relied on. As you say what attracted me to Everton was how, you got easily get tickets and develop bond with club. I had season ticket for more than 10 years, watched Everton away, before the credit hoarders ruined everything. Unlike RS we can't rely on endless supplies of glory hunters, so making it easier for fans who can only attend odd game should be a priority. One thing that differentiates us from RS, is our fans go to game, if club make it harder for regular fans to go, then you could lose a generation of match going supporters.

It's mad this scramble for tickets because it's the last season at Goodison. I know everyone's circumstances are different but it does make me wonder why most haven't been bothered going for the last 5/10/15 years
When Stub hub existed, you didn't need to post on here that's probably why. Like a lot of people, Stub hub was good value for most games other than derby. Even for Chelsea, Arsenal and City I got tickets for face value or less. For games like Newcastle, West Ham, West Brom and others you would pay less than 20 quid. Fans are on here, because bought a membership thinking they were guaranteed a ticket like in past, only to find it doesn't.

I managed to snag a ticket on the day of United game on resale platform at, like, 9:30. Now I’m wondering how on Earth I was able to after getting nowhere near a ticket for today.

6 times I’ve had a ticket pop up on re-sale between yesterday and this morning. Refreshing like a madman every few seconds and when one appears, can’t get near it. These bots are a kin joke.
