Oh behave lad. Tom Davies couldn’t run past a parked car.

I didnt say they were similar players.

I said he was Sportings Tom Davies...occasional starter, occasional sub.

14 games worth of minutes.

So instead of taking a chance on 3 players at around 45m you'd rather wait a season to sign one of them for 40m and compete against bigger, more successful clubs for their signature? You need a reality check mate. We are Everton. 10th. No European football. Tom Davies is currently the best 1st team player to come out of our academy since Ross Barkley (which doesn't say much given Ross' failure to get a game at Chelsea and his performances for Villa). We have to do things differently than we have been doing otherwise it will be the same old story.

Do the same things and get the same results. It is what we've been doing for years now. I'm all for trying to hoover young talent up from elsewhere if we can't produce it ourselves. It will only take 2 or 3 to be a hit and either kick us on or at least generate a huge fee to balance the books.

Youre arguing with a post which says

"Thats fine with me".

?

I thought you were saying you'd rather we waited 12 months and paid 40m for Nunes? Your '...' after the That's fine with me intimated to me that you were saying as such.

Apologies if not. You just seem to be arguing against taking a chance on this young lad when personally I think we have to.

The Heil are now saying that we’re in talks with Sporting and they are interested in doing a loan to buy deal with us for Nunes

As long as we agree a price first, I would go along with that because if this lad hits it off and he could, he has the skill set, strong, quick and skillfull, from what I've saw, admittedly not much, then the price could go a lot higher.

I watched up to 2 mins then realised we never end up signing these sort of players.
His agent is using us to push a move to Bayern or somewhere.

For me im not that impressed with him and think he needs a season playing regularly starting games before its clear if hes going to be a good player or not.

Thats really all. If we sign him then its a punt.

Heil ? Mail? Saying loan with obligation to buy at £20mil.

Others now saying €18mil rising to €25mil.

So he's like Man City's Mahrez? Occasional starter, occasional sub.

Mahrez played 30 games worth of mins...Nunes 14.

Bit of a stretch.

Zat, that is the exact point I am making. We are a midtable club, not producing regular Premier league quality players from our academy. We have to take a punt on players like this rather than wait until they are the real deal and not only have to pay the associated price but compete with the champions league teams around Europe.

I think you need to just have a reality check about where we are as a club mate. We need to be in this 10-20m bracket taking a punt on 3 or 4 players hoping 1 or 2 turn into a superstar. Not ideal, don't like that that is where we are but that is it I'm afraid.
