You're probably thinking of this, which was Bild's Christian Falk:He kept being linked to Bayern and then one of the reasonably well connected German writers had an article that said something along the lines of Bayern was laughing at the suggestion
“That’s true, at least the negotiations with Everton being ongoing.
“In this case, Bayern have a bit more to laugh about; they were very amused at the claims they were paying the transfer fee and always read about the intense Bayern interest.
“They’ve been watching the player, but they’ve never been ready, and that’s because Norwich have been price pushing a bit.
“They want to sell the English international, they make money out of youth internationals and have found buyers elsewhere, because an English club is willing to pay for an English prospect.”
OK that's it, and yeah it still means we're sort of bidding against ourselves at 30mYou're probably thinking of this, which was Bild's Christian Falk:
It was the reports that they were going to sign him for £35m or whatever that Bayern found amusing, not the idea of signing him at all. Seems they were definitely interested, but clearly not strongly enough to pay a high price.
Which is why, if we do sign him, it won't be for that price.OK that's it, and yeah it still means we're sort of bidding against ourselves at 30m
Tbf he is a RB. Goals aren't a priorityHe's another player who doesn't get goals and assists isn't he?
He's an alright player but dont we have enough of these kinds of players?
Brands loves loading the squad with players who are neat and tidy but actually contribute little in terms of output.
Celik is twice the player imo sort of player Leicester or Moist would sign for £20 millions whilst we paid £30 millions for Aarons

18-20m initially, with add ons for number of games played, europa league qualification, champions league qualification etc. No doubt it will hit £30m if all that happens but it will have been well worth it if it doesAs far as I know, Norwich have no long standing debt and they have been receiving parachute payments last season and their coffers will be boosted even further due to their imminent promotion. They will definitely sell him, because that's what they do and what Delia Smith was alluding to in the quote you included.
I could be wrong but I think the package to get him out of there (accounting for add-ons and the like) will top £35m. And I am really unsure if he's worth that so I hope we are keeping our options open.

I know, better ways to express it though.Agree to an extent however modern fullbacks do need to contribute a threat going forward these days particularly when our main attacking tactic is get it out wide and whip it in to DCL
Celik: 5 career goals in 161 games
He has like five or six goals in his entire carer and is nearly twenty-five. You can say words like double, but double one is only two. It's not a big difference! This season Celik has double the goals and think level with assists than Aarons despite playing nearly half the amount of games this season in a tougher league than what Aarons is operating in.
Celik is the better player.
