Yeah but it'll get more with time, add-ons, etc.

It will be the same with this transfer as well when/if it goes through.

On topic - I like him, safer option than Celik. Good going forward. An improvement over the current 0 able right backs we have.

Which is why we should look elswhere - he's a decent player but not £25-30 million decent when as I've said similar young English prospects like Eze, Matty Cash, Josh Bowen etc have gone for £15-18 million in recent seasons.

Digne cost us £18 million they'll be better RB's out there for less if we had a DOF worth their salt.

If Steve Walsh was in charge there would be murder but you cant say a bad word about Brands without the mafiya putting a price on your head.

Think 25 is fair price other names dumfries psv cellik ect would still cost similar 18-25 aswell. Digne was a steal at that price and played at a higher level than both the players mentioned. Arrons would have to improve if he comes here but if he is anything like godfrey attitude and desire i see no reason why cant be a great player for us

I would go for the boy Celik, but Turks are a bit hit and miss.

Tbf both Stones and to a smaller extent AWB were Premier League proven quality and sadly Utd and Citeh can spend whatever they want as they are in the FFP cartel.

Dont get me wrong if FFP gets relaxed spend as much as you want on Aarons but imo if we had proper scouting at the club like we did under Moist we could likely go out and find a decent young RB for £15 million rather than spending £25-30 million on a slightly above average Aarons (albeit with potential and age on his side).

I just think with the state of the squad we are gonna need 4-5 very good signings this summer (for me RB, RW, 2x CM's and a CF) so spending big money on Max Aarons makes little sense to me and is something the fanbase would have hammered Steve Walsh for doing.

I think this deal is further down the line than we are led to believe. Romano has been reporting for a while we were in talks, now Joyce has said we are trying to haggle down the price, stating Aarons wants to come here.

It depends.

The only way we can judge if hes worth the fee is if we sign him and he will either be worth it or not.

Forget the Moyes days, I mean Jared Bowen would have cost 1m in Moyes day.

You pay more for English talent and if we ever want to become a CL team we really need to think ahead and get our HG quota up, which is currently very good, but if we punt a lot of the players people wanting punt it wont be good for long.

English premium is real.
