Mayor's Bramley Moore Dock Open Letter To Evertonians

Yes because all the public sound bites from those involved have referenced words like atmospheric and intimacy so if that is not now delivered it would be very disappointing. I am still hopeful that there is a logical explanation as the board knows how sensitive this is to the supporters so I would be shocked if they would shaft us on it. However, from the information made public so far it is difficult to see how we are going to see the end result that the majority of the fan base are looking for.

Tbh mate I think intimacy means 2 different things to fans and the board/Meis. Intimacy for Everton fans is a bunch of arl arses being 1 foot from the pitch and as I've said previously our fans simply want a replica of GP which just won't happen.

Intimacy for Meis and the board probably means a ground that's not like West Hams or a bland flat generic square like Sunderlands or Boros.

We need to just wait and see but Imo any lack of atmosphere at the new ground will be down to the fans not being arsed to chant and sing than the actual architecture of the stadium itself.

Too many fans in England blame the stadiums when it's a well known fact home atmospheres in this country is a joke in comparison to on the continent.

Meis gave an interview a while back where he said he had a deep interest in pañal adulto which is the Spanish approach to architecture. As part of this he subscribed to space between pitch and player for the purposes of acoustics. Think we can expect at least a 10m gap to be honest.

Its funny how people think its the stadium that generates the atmosphere.

Never got the credit it deserved really. lollollol

I don't know Allianz's dimensions, but I reckon you can fit a 400m running track on top of the 1st tier. If that's possible, some simple structural support and its sorted

Wouldn't be long enough.

Think modern guidelines mean you can only get 10m or so from the pitch anyway. Intimacy and modern stadia don't go. So that said, think it's more than possible to do if you want intimate by modern standards.

Not strictly true.

UEFA/FIFA have 'guidelines' of recommended distances from the touch/goal line to row 1 however they don't have to be adhered to as they only a guide.

Spurs have ignored these guidelines after fan consultation to try to keep all stands as. Lose as possible to the pitch.
They've even place the "home end" within 5 metres of the goal line.

This is what we should also try to achieve.

No it still wouldn't fit.
The lower tier has 25 rows.
This would only give about 162 metres when added to the pitch length and gap behind each goal line.

It'd probably end up at the level of the 2nd tier exits thus rendering this tier unusable.
