Probably. Isn't it impossible to get both? If Moyes was really getting half of the Rodwell money and these two are supposedly around 6m each (which depending on sauce is either exactly half or close enough to half of the money we got) then if we sign one we are done with the other?

Can't help but have a semi for Niang purely based on FM ... which is insanity peppers but that is all I have to base things on ... I am not, contrary to rumours, a professional scout.
Regardless getting even one of them in before the season starts would be a pretty sweet deal. Both would require a gif from a certain South Park episode.

I'm going to have a wild guess and say perhaps Niang isn't actually £6m or it's not £6m up front. In fact I'd be very surprised if it was £6m up front. Probably a few mil and then a lot of instalments and add-ons for certain landmarks. Which are understandably common for younger and riskier (so to speak) transfers.
I'm with you there , if arsenal have offered £2m then I just can't see him being £6m he , as you say, might be £2m plus a few quid when he makes so many games or this or that. Plus i just dont think £6m players have trials at 3 or 4 clubs.
Im not convinced we'll sign both unless both prices are low or unless we are maybe looking to offload someone like Anichebe

If we signed both and sold Victor Anichebe this would have to go down as the greatest transfer window in my lifetime.
So for that reason I fully expect everything to go tits up.

RFUS makes a good point on the upfront money. Still seems like it would be too much to sign both. I can't believe nobody has snapped him Niang up yet. He's so good on FM how could you not?
