UPDATED M'Baye Niang is unlikely to become Everton's third acquisition of the summer as the club appear to have ended their pursuit of the French forward.
Niang, a target for the Blues a few years ago under David Moyes's tenure when he was an even more raw teenager, was reported by the Liverpool Echo to have been at Finch Farm yesterday along with Davy Klaassen, suggesting that a deal to keep him in the Premier League was close.
