McCain Racist?

So you'll know that everyday behaviour is far more interesting and complicated than common sense dictates.

I do, but I also know that some have a great tendency to look too far into things, looking for things that simply aren't there. In examples such as this, you would like to think that common sense prevails.

Politicians demean eachother. I know that, you know that, everyone knows it. Thats the nature of the game they are in.

Hay-soos christ!!!

Neb, he was talking about who voted for Bush's budget or something. "You know who voted for Bush's budget?? That one!"

That is hardly racist and is being taken completely out of context.

Instead of going crazy on one comment just because you don't like the guy, why not attack him for more sensible reasons, like his policies.

I understand that which is why said I didn't know one way or the other. I wouldn't discount a charge, but would air on the side of caution given no direct evidence. I nonetheless found the remark insulting and can understand, given McCain has had accusations in the past (google it and the list is endless), why some would put 2 and 2 together and possibly come up with five

it's not as if he said ' that [Poor language removed] black man'... it was a comment to show his dislike of the man. i think it is pretty clear they really don't like each other.

I didn't attack him, I simply asked what people thought. This has been on the news a lot here in DK.

I think its only offensive if it offends Obama to be honest. I didnt see or hear what was said so cant really comment.

Unfortunately, if you disagree with Obama or his political viewpoints, his supporters look at it as an attack on his race, not his views.

Too bad but that's what it's come to.

By the way, I briefly glimpsed at the title of the thread and thought it said:

McBain racist?

I was like, "...uh oh, what did McBain say?"

:lol::lol:

not only was it not racist, it wasn't even a slant / insult / condescending remark *delete as appropriate.

Now, I'm hoping Obama gets in, because Palin scares the bejesus out of me, and I'm not sure McCain would last the full term.

However, all that was being said there (remember, the public is presented with 2 candidates) all those bad, typically right wing things
in that bill, who voted for them? That one, who voted against? [this one] me.

by omitting the [this one] the context gets lost somewhat, but you've got to really want to see a problem there for it to register.

Funny as Obama scares us for the same reason.

No experience.

None.

Least qualified candiate to ever run for the office of POTUS in history.

Don't believe me? Check it out.

But hey, he isn't George Bush.
