No thank you, cannot think of a single thing that would persuade me to have a McDonald's burger. The smell from the one in Belle Vale is enough to put anybody off.

Little tip, when ordering chips, ask for no salt, then you are guaranteed fresh chips. Then ask for a sachet of salt

The last 10 years I'd say I average 1 McDonalds a year and it's always Big Mac.

To be honest I went off them when I went in once and the expectation was you had to use digital screens to order rather than talk to someone.

I think it’s an age thing. Defo have a similar ratio- I sometimes eat a KFC and then have remorse very soon after.

Quite like a breakfast wrap on my way to golf at a weekend. The cardboard packaging makes it easy to eat while driving whereas McMuffin meals are messy. (However since moving house, no McDonald’s on route so now getting a Greggs)

Agree it’s getting extortionate though. We very occasionally get 2 meals and the cheese dippers and it’s like £17/18.

(But I think the breakfast wrap meals are less than £6 aren’t they?)

One thing I will say: if you're into your weights and need a quick protein boost the Wraps of the Day (usually around £1.99) have about 25-32g protein in them.

For those people that worked through covid or work nightshifts or on the road etc, a McDonald's nearby is important. You can be snobby about them but for lots of people it is a reliable source of warm food, drink & toilet facilities when a lot of places are shut. They also employ over 100,000 people in this country.
My local town is devoid of one & McDonald's put in an application for a unit in the highstreet which is being discussed by the council planning committee as I write this. I hope it's successful.

A McDonalds has been given planning permission within acceptable driving distance to where I live and I'm pretty excited by the prospect.

So don't piss on my chips.

Wait until the surrounding area is littered with McDonalds rubbish, that pond life lob out of their cars, due to it being too difficult to take it home or find a bin.

The thing with Maccas for me is basically, you know when you can tell your food is made by someone who either respects his job or you? In every McD's I've been to it looks like the person who made it is debating whether he hates me, themselves or their job more, so it's just a MESS.

I still go every once in a while though, the only place around here that's open 24/7 cuz of the drive-'thru' as well - might be crap but you know what you get basically.

We're spoiled for choice here in Bulgaria/Eastern Europe as nearly every other type of street food available is 1) actually more available, 2) cheaper, 3) tastier, so going to those is a one-off, unless you're really into Big Macs I guess.
