They have
Got rid of sky along time ago and haven’t looked back, they were and judging by the stuff said here still the worst.

It’s as if a pundit has to have it written in their contract to be dismissive of us because it’s bad enough they have an overload of Kopites but the non kopites are also dumping on us.

My rationale is that they are has beens looking to curry favour with the Sky sports bosses who in turn curry favour with the Red Sheet and Man U fan

Most sky subscribers are probably man u and lpool, so they will always lick their respective arse holes.

One of the retired referees, Dermot Gallagher I think, stated in his book that in the pre-season meeting, referees are told that their number 1 aim to to stay out of the spotlight and not become a talking point. They all agreed the way to do this is to favour it Top 4 (at the time) clubs.

I thought VAR would sort this, but as we seen last season they started with the referee having the option to go to VAR or not and the Kopite Cult for away with murder (excuse the pun) and at least a 11 point swing on City (who got robbed of 2 wins) before they changed the rules.

The subs thing is another one... how can you change the rules of the matches mid-season. Smaller clubs will have prepared their squads for 11 on the pitch and 5 subs... the only teams to benefit MID-SEASON were the bigger clubs. Everything is geared towards them, it is beyond a joke, it is pathetic.

I got a text last night... "yas got away with that. The Top 4 get the big decisions. Get used to it" and I laughed, but still thought it was VERY wrong. VAR's number one aim should be to prevent referee corruption, number 2 should be to stop their mistakes.

It's an absolute disgrace, and another nail in the coffin! From top (Blatter, Platini, Russia 2018) to bottom the game is corrupt. Big clubs (even us) stealing youth players is a disgrace.

Yup. Have to appease their subscribers.

I tend to avoid the build up, go get a drink at half time and turn over at the final whistle. The only exception I’ve made is to revel in Souness’ face after the Anfield derby lol

Watching MOTD last night, and knowing how the format usually works regarding order of matches. Now I didn’t know the LFC/Chelsea result, so when they were on first I thought, it must’ve been a draw, therefore they’d say “now here’s Everton with a chance to go 4th against WBA...” (are you still following at the back?).
Not even a mention of it...

Don't think it was Gallagher. Wasn't it the guy who has admitted to always having a soft spot for Everton? Can't recall his name.

It's not all bad, looks like there is a new established top 6 (still has us to lose and the RS to win though)

Seeing the table and form since Tuchel came in, unless we turn them over Monday night i think Chelsea will finish 2nd or 3rd.. our best hope is catching wee brendans mob who have ran out of steam again this season.
Yes I think your spot on here.
Even though I’m not convinced at Man Utd also
I think they can be caught. Just need to keep going and keep in the mix

The media know how powerful they are. They led the campaign to get the kopite cult into the champions league when they finished 5th. The rules were clear, if you won the champions league it doesn't matter, you have to finish in top 4.

The hysteria they created got them into the competition at a later stage than us... and we got Villareal and a retired referee... who "unretired" for one game only and subsequently made more errors in that game than any game of his career (according to Marca). Collina took a bribe or was under strict instructions from UEFA to ensure we didn't qualify, as England would have had 5 teams in the group stages. The decision was made to ensure Everton didn't qualify and this was fully-endorsed by the media.

They screwed us in 1985 with their absolute shocking fan behaviour and they screwed us in 2005. The fact the media exacerbate or simply follow an editorial line to entice the kopite cult towards their content/publications is absolutely shocking. They feed on each other. Sky know that they can grow their subscriptions by having kopite cult content constantly on their programme schedule, and the cult feeds back with subscriptions. News sites know that an ad click from Oslo or Mumbai is just as valuable as a traditional customer who would buy their rag from local shops, so they gear content to the international kopite cult.

They are everything that is wrong with the game of football... which is slowly dying! Its becoming like WWF and has lost its soul! Kopites are the real pandemic!
They didn't go in at a later stage than us, they went into the first qualifying round we went in at the 3rd.. although it was blatantly fixed to keep us out of the main competition, Moyes even accused them of rigging the draw and received no punishment, because in my opinion if they punished him there may have been need for an investigation.

Man City could well win all 4 trophies this season and you can guarantee they will not receive half the media adulation the red cult got last season.....carrying the myth with the hype that it mattered more.....

Optus sport ( the Aussie stream provider) with their Liverpool and manu admins just completely leaving us out now lol how childish
