See Viera has finally opens his gob saying he feared for his life and that the Everton pitch invasion was more serious than that one incident (apparently incidents with Zaha and Eze now being investigated)
I really can’t see why our pitch invasion is being made more of a deal of than the others where players actually got attacked and hurt. Yes some nob decided to goad Viera (and i don’t condone that) but in the vid the fan actually turns away and then Viera turns, spins the fan back round and then kicks out at him. If he’d have carried on walking it would have been done.
No players were attacked physically during our pitch invasion and nothing was damaged so why are the media giving it more press than the other more violent incidents?
Because they hate Everton.

Sick of all this now to be honest. The lad was a knob for getting in his face, of course he was, but the more I think about hit he didn’t warrant getting kicked when he was walking away.

Turns out Vieira is another cry arse, who’d have thought that?

Because they don't like us and are miffed brcause we escaped relegation. That's why.

There are cameras everywhere, we’d have seen a clip by now.
I’ve seen some stills of incidents involving Butland, Benteke and Eze. No one hurt but all being threatened, jostled, Eze with a flare being waved towards him from a few feet. By far the majority of fans of the pitch just celebrated.
Mateta legged it to the nearest exit ( the tunnel) and eventually found himself in main reception in full kit asking the way to the Palace dressing room, someone found a steward to take him via some lounges. Just shouldn’t happen.
I think it’s been thrown up again by the events at City yesterday where similar happened followed by a swift apology. Unless I’ve missed something there’s been no official comment from Everton?
As I said on another thread, there appears to be teleclapper outrage on both sides but match going fans are a bit meh about the whole thing. Wasn’t mentioned at all pre & post match in the pub yesterday.
There isn’t any doubt that these pitch invasions leave players and staff in potentially dangerous situations. Need to stop them all, not sure how.

can you change the title of this thread please. that istanbul final was a pure fix, our game was an uphill battle with no favours from the officials let alone gifts
Its its not a sequel to that fix of a game. Its a sequel to when Palace came back and made them lose the title.

Start banning folk I think till people get the message

Just seen this clip of the third goal (apols if it's been posted elsewhere, can't be arsed trawling the whole site) - thought it was interesting because it's the first time I've heard how quickly the majority of fans turned on the nobheads who ran onto the pitch:

…best part of that view is the little block Deli Alli does on the defender marking DCL. Its almost like he knows what his intention is & times it to perfection.

I also love the fist pump and little jig the policeman does as the players were racing after DCL.

I know a lot has been debated by the red tops, but don't 'invasions' happen at other sports venues? F1, Horse racing, Golf etc, or is it only disgusting because it involved Everton after avoiding the trap door conveniently placed under them by the FA et al.

Most common in college basketball over here. Happens in college football as well. It's tolerated. Security knows to get the visitors out ASAP, and opposing players/staff know to book it for the tunnel.

The safety issues are manageable if stadium staff are prepared. It's not great for the pitch, so I don't think it should be happening on the regular, but it's hard to stop that kind of tidal wave when a team dodges relegation or wins a title in dramatic fashion.

The U.S. infamously invaded the 17th green at Brookline during the 1999 Ryder Cup, trampling all over Olazabal's line, and this was considered disgusting for that reason.
