Getting in a bit early before Everton risk dampening our festive spirits at the weekend...

Wishing you and all your families a very merry Christmas and healthy new year.

A big thank you to everyone who visits and contributes to this little corner of the Everton internet. Whether you’re a silent observer or an active poster, we truly appreciate you.

A particular nice one to the moderators who take on a thankless but essential role, and to those who regularly update us with loanee reports, transfer roundups, and nostalgic Everton photos. Your efforts keep this community thriving - nice one!

Eat, drink and be merry. Remember to raise a couple to our friend @roydo, our first Christmas without him.

Have a good one.
Merry Chrimbo mate.

I like your forum and pint glasses.

Merry Chrimbo to all. Strictly Yorkshire Tea for me tonight but I’ll be raising a rum or two to @roydo and terroring the Messy thread starting tomorrow.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday. Practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2025, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures and without regard to the race, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. "Holiday" is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

DISCLAIMER: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting the following terms: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wishee, him/herself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of same.

This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

Having a real tough week but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Last weekend me and me 80 year old Mum both had a very nasty chest bug (she lives with us and i look after her). Monday morning found her collapsed on the landing, breathing but delirious. Called an ambulance which took an hour to arrive but the paramedics were brilliant tbf. Midway through the morning while she was receiving emergency care and tests, my legs went and i collapsed as well and ended up in the next bed to her. Anyway to cut a long story short we both had the proper flu. Not the bollox one that people with a little cough and sore throat call the flu. The real flu floors you and in our case hospitalized us. It is actually a good job we both had the flu jab in September or it could have been far worse.

My Flu is almost clear now and i am doing ok. My Mum is still in the hospital but recovering really well and there is a good chance she will be home for Christmas.

So all the best to everyone for Christmas and remember there is nothing more important than family. Keep them close and love them. 💙

I'm glad you are on the road to a full recovery. Hopefully, your Mum will be back on her feet very soon and you'll get to spend a lovely Christmas together.

Merry Christmas to you and your Family 💙
