Merseyside's own 'Globe Theatre'

Spent a good few years living in Prescot and the turnaround of a town centre that was the epitome of dead that this generated is impressive.
Yeah, nice old place. Are all the old pubs still there: The Dean's House, The Victoria etc?

Could they not spend a few quid getting proper seats ? Going to the theatre is bad enough, having to also sit upright the entire time making it impossible to fall asleep is just evil.
The side benches at The Everyman have provided this theatre goer with a good grounding. I look forward to it opening.

The Deanes is still there and seems to be doing well and there's still the older pubs like Sun Inn, Clock Face, Tommy Halls and The Royal Oak. There's a Wetherspoons down the other end of Eccleston St and a few new little bars as well. I think The Red Lion is a takeaway now but I was never really a fan of that place or The Old Mill which I think is still going.

Is The Victoria you're talking about the one near Rainhill station? If so it's been took over and turned into a non-descript CookHouse pub with pretty poor food the one time I tried it. Couple of nice little "modern" bars down the sidestreets near the station and over the road in the little square where the curryhouse is. Can get a bit pricey some of them though. The Commercial facing Rainhill station is still a proper old fashioned reasonably priced boozer though.

No, the Victroria was opposite the registery offices on the High Street (right at the top of the hill as you get into Prescot).

I cant believe the Sun Inn is still going!
