Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

My musical tastes are pretty eclectic but I like all folk music tbh, whether it be traditional, Gaelic or the sea shanties that are so common place down here. I saw Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention at some folk festival in the 80s and they're 2 of the best live bands I've ever seen. Fisherman's Friends 1 & 2 are 2 of my fave feel good movies too. ;)
Seth Lakeman Fred?

Yeah they've only released a couple of singles to date AT. They only have about 10 songs in their repertoire but neither of those singles get close to my favourite top 5 by them in fairness.

There are a few videos of their early gigs from last year on YouTube filmed by some amateur guy that goes round London venues. They stopped when they were signed up to a record label and I'm a bit surprised the videos haven't been taken down. Some of them aren't great quality and need to be listened to through earphones really, but it gives more of an insight into their baroque pop style.

Here's my favourite song by them, which I think highlights the self indulgency that Jazzy was referring to. That's one of the things I like about them in fairness, and I think most of my favourite artists over the years have had that self indulgent streak in them.

Anyway, I'm hoping 3 weeks away from the Last dinner Party is going to take the edge off my obsessiveness, which i don't think is particularly healthy. lol

Too many poppets for your own good there mate

Just for fun! Here is the link to the LIVE bear cams from Katmai National Park in Alaska. They run 24/7 during daylight hours. The bears are only there on and off until around October when they get ready to hibernate.

The favorite cam is the one where they are trying to catch salmon at the falls. There is a chat room and sometimes park rangers get on there to chat.

I love this already.

Hello everybody. I hope you've all had a good day. Its been dry again here so I took a chance and mowed the grass. Took two hours to get it all done it I got to use my lethal weapon strimmer again. Very empowering! Not a lot to tell you about today. There was a horse called Goodison Girl running at Windsor tonight I
had £2 on it. It came last of four- I hope that isn't an omen!!
Have you seen this. On the Liverpool Empire. It happens to be my birthday on that day so son and I are going and will try and catch the Villa match the following day

That is wonderful- what a great thing to wake up to. I can see me spending many hours on that website and they have polar bears as well. Thanks for the link 💙
