Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I’m so sorry to hear this, I hope some opportunities come his way and sometimes surprising things happen when you least expect them. It must be very disheartening for you both 💙.
believe it or not it’s the first time I’ve had Pinot and it’s really nice - going down far too well, so it’s going to be an early night when I’ve polished off this bottle- or a hangover as I open another 😂.
im still fuming about last night too. Did you hear Neil warnocks comments earlier- that was v interesting wasn’t it. Good to see the club has appealed but I’m expecting zilch.
cheers 🥂
Pinot is one of my favoutites. I love it with ice - @Barnfred 55 will now have kittens! Yes I saw what he said. That's really interesting.

I'm sure something will turn up but as I've said he can always retire. the only thing that annoys me is I went to Costco last week and spent a fortune on stuff (mostly food items ) that we don't need!

You can always use it up on a last dinner party. Sorry. Couldn't help myself. 😀

And don't worry about ice in the wine. I'm used to it with the neighbours. At least it isn't port.

Hi folks. A bit of a rubbish day all round. Mr F got laid off today. We've been here before quite a few times over the last three and a half years since he lost his permanent job during lockdwon. A series of temporary jobs, employed via agencies. It's really rubbish but unfortunately it seems to be the way the manufacturing industry is these days - especially when you are Mr F's age. Being philosophical there are far far worse things that could happen. If the worst comes to the worst, he could claim his pension a couple of years early and maybe try to get a part time job. I could go back full-time, we've still got loads of overtime so the wolf isn't at the door yet - he's a very long way down the back garden. lol

No plans this weekend other than the gym and overtime on Saturday and Sunday. I might join you on the Pinot tonight @Val P and @Barnfred 55 . I'm also still furious about Dom being sent off. I would just love one ref to have the bottle to say, when called to the monitor, thanks lads but I'm sticking with my original decision.
Anyway have a good night x
Oh that’s rubbish, sorry to hear this. Agency workers on short term contracts seems to be the way of things these days, by the time Mr G. retired the manufacturing side of the firm had mostly been relocated abroad and the factory was mainly a spares warehouse where the staff were mostly agency rather than permanent staff. Really hope something turns up soon.

Morning guys, well at least it is here in St Lucia .

Off to do a bit of whale and dolphin watching today . I do hope the captain doesn't say " when are going to need a bigger boat".

The last time we did such a trip was 20 years ago in India with Johns boats who had a policy that " no see dolphins, no pay".

We saw loads and had loads of free beer but a pissed Scottish gent was adamant that he hadn't seen any dolphins and wouldn't pay. Johns reply was " I didn't know you were Stevie Wonder".

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning all on this cold day here in Hyvinkää .I tried the viking thing but it wouldn't load .
I hope all had good night's sleep and have a fine day today . Not much happening here as the wife and I are on a diet I am not allowed to make the pies until after we are weighed tomorrow morning ! I bought pure pork fat and had to render it down but it came out so good ,there were a sort of light pork scratching left when the lard melted .I had to try one ,they were a bit tasteless so I put salt on one and they would work but not for me and the diet .Why is it all the good stuff is bad for you ? Have a great day all COYB.
We had -24° here yesterday but it is warmer this morning -21° 🇫🇮
You're not selling it Blue :)

Morning all.

Not brilliant, had a rough start in his flat, I touched upon the incontinence but i think the pants she got must be working as she doesn't mention it. Then just a few weeks into being there a pipe burst and when she went round he was sat in a flooded flat, had to go into temporary housing.

After that he finally got a pendant, beggars belief he didn't have one. He still shouldn't really be on his own, he hates it there and he doesn't really eat much apart from weetabix. I mentioned he loves cheese but he couldn't remember which ones he liked.

If I know my Dad he wouldn't want to live like this and he has even said to myu sister he wishes he could just go to sleep. I personally wouldn't want to live like that. It is all well and good people living longer but at what cost, it's no sort of life for him.

It isn't nice is it, I can't imagine how tough it is for you mate.
As you get older T you appreciate that, in the right circumstances, there is a lot to be said for Euthenasia. But it has to be strictly controlled. And also agreed on by all parties, i.e family and authorities. It's a very emotive and difficult topic and one I wouldn't normally entertain. You can tell I've had a drink or two:blush:
