Just watching Genesis in Rome. Phil Collins was such a great showman. So sad to see him now.

Mabel, she is doing great now
Sounds amazingEvening guys. Busy day today (and tomorrow). I'm having the neighbours around for a curry tomorrow night so I've been busy slaving over the stove all afternoon. I'm doing an Anj inspired Zanzibar chicken curry, a mushroom bhaji side dish, some tamarind fries and an authentic Indian rice dish. Unlike Blue, I bought the naan breads at the supermarket, but everything else is prepared from scratch. Chicken and mushroom dishes are done and, if I say so myself, are stunningly good. I'm trying to replicate the tamarind fries from my favourite restaurant in Liverpool. It's my second attempt and I'm going to use treacle syrup instead of honey as it wasn't quite there first time around. The rice is always the hardest to get right but last time it was perfect so I'm hoping I can do it again/
Anyway I'm relaxing now so will be back soon with the gin pic. Hope everyone is well.
You spotted my favourite restaurant then Val.Evening everyone, re acclimatising back to Wigan from Vienna. Just one Baileys for me tonight whilst watching Maria - the film about the last days of Maria Callas’ life starring Anjelina Jolie as Maria. Visually stunning to watch being set in Paris and beautiful music, but not much of a story really.
Hope Kay continues to improve @peteblue and your meal sounds amazing @Barnfred 55 - just like being at Mowgli.
Family coming over tomorrow for the game- me and daughter i-l might sneak out for a walk with the baby if it looks like it’s going to be an annihilation. Pondering on what these new owners are going to do, and with zero expectations I’m not getting too excited.
Enjoy your Saturday all
The tears are good Pete as they will release a little bit of the pressure inside. Take all the help offered moving forward and you just keep on being there for Kay. She knows everything you are doing mate and she would tell you if she only could.
Oh Pete , no words mate. Just thinking about you
My heart goes out to you and Kay @peteblue .I know when my time comes ( as a selfish person I want to go first ) I will be totally lost ,my wife does every single thing she can in my life ,I am not looking forward to being alone at all. Happily for you Kay will be discharged as soon as they can because they will need the bed and whatever the cost if there is any just look at that chair again and think. You must tell Kay we are all thinking of her as I have said before she does know but hasn't got a way of showing you ,it is hell for her being as she is . Stay strong that wonderful man.
It was the tamarind fries that gave it awayYou spotted my favourite restaurant then Val.
Great news, hope you will soon be on the transplant list.Had my colonoscopy today (piece of piss), no polyps...clean bill of health. One step closer to being officially put on the transplant list.
