Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this fine day here ,I hope all are well and had good night . There were plenty of stars visible last evening , I have been considered buying a telescope .I think I mentioned I got one that attaches to my phone and it is really good although it takes a bit fidgeting to line it up so it doesn't wobble .We I used it to look at a couple of stars and to be honest with 20x magnification they still looked just the sme -a twinkle in the sky ,so it looks like a quite powerful/expensive one would be needed to see any real amount of interesting ones .Have a great day all COYB
Mr P has one. I don’t think it was mega expensive and it’s not massive so you can move it around easily but it enabled us to clearly see the rings of Saturn which was amazing. We don’t use it v much at all tbh - we should, especially now when so many planets are clearly visible.
One of the best we have seen for ages ,how is your Avacado plant @Val P ? Ours is getting tall now and is supported by the plants next to it so we are afraid it might topple if we move it ?
It got far too big for the conservatory so my son said he’d have it. He’s left it out over winter because it wouldn’t fit in his house either and whilst it’s looking very much worse for wear, it’s definitely not dead. It’s about 8 feet tall now, so we’re just waiting to see if it lasts the winter - I hope it does. Mr P put a thick cane in the pot when it was younger until the trunk became thick enough to support the whole tree.
