You would think it is but he also wants Gaza and the Panama Canal. I don't understand why his posturing isn't being taken as seriously as Putin's rhetoric about Crimea and Ukraine - before he attacked them.

It's a very interesting question and yes I always like to speak with locals about how they view the UK.

Most are just sad that we left and can't understand why we did ...which pretty much sums up my feelings.

However I fear we will see a lurch to the extreme right in Europe which in turn will put a strain on the integrity of the EU

My own Spanish experience of Brexit views is normally hands up in the air gesture of ‘why’? Conversation then normally goes to how my Irish passport bypasses queues in the airport although I do point out this has only happened once.

I think as you say, the far right lurch, does help people understand how it happened though. Most importantly though, it’s nice to be able to discuss like minded views with people from different countries. Good people will always find good people.
