Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hello everybody. I'm so glad your Mum is home @jazzy . We had a lovely time with Charlotte last night. She had made fajitas, nachos and Mexican rice. Mr F brought a doggy bag home.šŸ¤£ I bet you had a lovely morning @Val P . Your poor daughter in law - I hope she's OK. I have to say Charlotte has had a dream pregnancy, no sickness or any other problems. She looks great and will be finishing work on 13 April.
It's freezing today. Heating on. The weather forecast says it's getting warmer next week. I will hold them to that. Our IT system managed to creak its way through overtime. None of us could generate any letters but as that is the very last thing in the process we could work the cases up to that point. It was so slow and painful though.
Has anybody seen that KFC advert where the guy gets dipped in a lake of gravy, basically gets deep fried and turns into a piece of chicken. It's horrible and would totally not persuade me to seek out KFC. I think somebody needs to have a word with their marketing department.
The decorator has finished, the carpet fitters are coming on Wednesday so we are getting closer to moving. I reckon we'll be in in a couple of weeks. I'm getting excited now.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday. I think a glass or two of Prosecco might be on the cards tonight.

I saw that advert, dreadfulā€¦..

Morning everyone,

Well mum's home so fingers crossed everything will be ok.

Got her one of those pendants that register and report falls which hopefully we never need.

Whilst I was in hospital our local tree surgeon who is a lovely fella rang me and asked if I wanted a truckload of bark chipping. I said yes because I use them all over the garden as a mulch / weed suppressant.

Asked him to dump it in the usual place but came home to find that he's dumped 3 loads and I can't now access the back gate. So you can guess what I will be doing this weekend. @blue1948 think a 4ft high snow drift but you can't use your blower šŸ˜‚.

Well hopefully my back lasts long enough to clear a path at least.

Whatever you do have a lovely day everyone.

Glad sheā€™s home Jazzy. Those pendants are lifesavers. My father in law collapsed at home and the company involved turned up really quickly and got him into hospital, heā€™d had a stroke and was living on his own. He died four or five years later having had a heart attack, but it gave him those extra few yearsā€¦ā€¦

Thanks, sheā€™s back home now and has been referred to have her gallbladder removed. Today was about eliminating any other issues. Iā€™m so pleased for Charlotte- you are all going to have the best time šŸ’™
Pleased to hear that she is back home. Our DIL had her gallbladder removed after Harry was born, apparently pregnancy increases the risk of gallstones. She has been fine ever since, hopefully will be the same outcome for Beth.šŸ’™

Morning everyone and Happy Mothering Sunday.

Granny was still asleep at 9am not realising that the clocks went forward šŸ˜‚.

Watched the Brighton v Forest game last night and that's 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. Jeez both teams were terrible, how are we below them and how are Forest about to qualify for the CL. I know they are disciplined and organised but Mon dieu they are sooooo boring.

Anyway more bark chip moving today.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Sounds like Charlotte did you proud and you had a great time. So pleased that she has had a trouble free pregnancy and is ā€œbloomingā€ as my Nan would have said. House move and new grandchild- exciting times for the Ferret family - enjoy every minute.šŸ’™

We watched that game too, it should have gone straight to penalties.
Thanks for the Motherā€™s Day wishes and Happy Bark Chip Moving Day to you.

Morning all, just catching up on a few days of posts , Iā€™m glad your mum is home Jazzy and nice to see itā€™s mainly good news from others šŸ‘.

Friday was very hectic, a drive 50 miles east to meet up with youngest son , his wife , two year old Grandson and a morning feeding lambs, llamas and goats and generally having fun with grandson . Then 50 miles back home , a quick turnaround and 55 miles west to Inverness for Friday night and a full day on Saturday helping with training of volunteers . Back home late Saturday .

I have my marathon two weeks today so all my long runs have been done now, I just have to get rid of the tiredness and aches , and later Iā€™ve a 10 k race to do , organised by my club . Hectic times, have a great day everyone šŸ™‚

Hello everybody. Not much to report today - did overtime. The IT system managed to work today without any major issues. Mr F and I went over to our new house to pull up the carpets in readiness for the new ones. Loaded up the car to go to the tip and....the tip was shut!! Temporarily closed due to ' inclement weather'. The sun was cracking the flags but, according to the Council worker on the gate- it was a bit windy. So now I have a car full of old carpets. Hopefully we can get rid of them tomorrow assuming the weather becomes less inclement. šŸ¤£
Have a happy Sunday - what's left of it x
