Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I think culture in general. We've always had great comedians, actors and playwrights too. Upstairs at he Museum of Liverpool Life there's a whole floor dedicated to Liverpool's contribution to the Arts. You could easily spend a whole afternoon there. The architecture is brilliant too. There's a saying that when you walk around the streets of Liverpool you should always "look up".
Next to Paris Liverpool is my favourite City for architecture - stunning.

My only claim to fame story is that I was in the Casablanca club, downstairs one night, quite bevvied and ended up snogging the face off a not unattractive young man who was a friend of a friend. He told me he was a singer and had a record out soon. Yeah right I said. A few weeks later imagine my surprise when I saw him on Top of The Pops! Black - Wonderful Life.
One of my very favourite songs from the 80s Anj. Absolutely love it.

You need to google the video to this one Sass. Guarantee you'll be jealous of Anj when you see him. ;)

As for you Anj, I'm surprised you remembered what he looked like lol

Fred I am now convinced that me you and @jazzy will have been in the same places at the same time in years gone by. Lark Lane was a great place to go out, We had our wedding reception in Marantos. Keiths was always the in place to go.

Loved the babyback ribs in Marantos. Keith's was great for a late night drink in the 70s. They had a license to 12am so long as you were eating something. So we just used to get a plate of bread with our wine.

I have never been to Liverpool, hopefully soon ??but the Paris is an architectural wonder. We absolutely loved walking around the city and admire its structure. Another city that has been an art of construction is Rome. Especially given the massive size of some of those buildings and structures, when there was no such thing as machining to make things easier for those poor slaves that work building it. The whole city of Rome is an incredible museum.
