Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@anjelikaferrett I know that Karl shared your love of cricket so how appropriate that on this most disastrous of Ashes tours one batsman today stood out and showed true grit to play through a bad thumb injury and make England's first century of the tour. Oh and he just happens to be a member of the ginger club!!

Well done Jonny Bairstow , Messy would have loved the symbolism I think.
Absolutely right. And the other batsman to make a significant contribution is also a ginger and played through a painful injury. Very fitting and appropriate.

Hahaha Brilliant

I think GOT were going to send some. If we don't hear back from Reedy about any specific wishes his family had, I'm going to make a donation to Mesothelioma UK which supports people with that specific type of cancer. Hopefully Messy will approve. I'm still full of admiration of how he dealt with his illness - and always will be. What do they say - heroes don't all wear capes.
Anj, would it be possible to post a link please.

I didn't interact with Messy as much as some on this forum so I hope this isn't inappropriate.

When my mate's mum passed, they all sang 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' from The Life of Brian. It was so apt for how she'd lived her life and I got a similar vibe from this fine blue.
Mate you are absolutely welcome.
I'm a Johnny come lately compared with most of the wonderful people on this thread but in a greater or lesser way Messy's fight with bravery , dignity and insight has touched just about everyone on GOT.

Not inappropriate at all, that song sums up Messy perfectly.
