Still needing an open fire in the snug here. Its a small room that warms up and stays warm with the fire.
Rest of the house is pretty much open plan, which takes ages (and lots of LPG) to heat, hence snugtastic.
We are sat in front of a log fire running the central heating.....

Went and had my CT scan at Ascot today, in the brand new Heatherwood Hospital. The last CT scan I had was several years ago at Royal Berks in Reading. The scanner was in a container on the back of a lorry in the car park. The Heatherwood set up was like something out of Star Trek. Very impressive. Got in bang on time and was out again in 15 minutes.
Glad it all went OK for you today. Not often appointments run as smoothly as that mate.
Morning all and what a beautiful one it is. Definite change in the weather but we are still being blessed with blue skies albeit with a cold breeze.

Morning peeps, lovely blue skies today but still cold. Got the guy coming to look at the wet room floor later so hopefully that will start moving now, it'll be nice to have a bathroom I don't mind going in. Currently the floor looks dirty even after cleaning, it's pretty grim.
Once the floor is done I can decorate and try and brighten it up. It has no natural light and the weird light I have is giving a more orange look plus the last tenants had orange walls so it's a bit weirdly lit. No slugs this morning thankfully. Hope they get it sorted soon, I haven't decorated nearly all the flat, don't have any flooring down except front room, so it needs doing asap.

A bit of progress anyway T with the guy coming today about the wet room. Maybe also ask his opinion on the slug problem? From my experience the council maintenance guys can turn their hands to most things.
Same here AT. Gorgeous but cold. Back seems fine after last night's ping pong ? so a trip to the gym and then some gardening before I chair maating of the table tennis league tonight . Main item on the agenda ...." getting more women into table tennis" @anjelikeaferret @gladwysover and @sassycolombian do you fancy helping me getting the numbers up? . I was going to title my discussion document "getting women onto the table" but thought better of it ! ??

She said he's a sub contractor, as I had the same thought. they're funny though they won't do a job that isn't logged. When he was sorting my waste pipe out on the washing machine, I was asking him and telling him I'd not complained about just the waste pipe but I got ignored.
Progress today but wondering why they can do it the same day I complain when I have been waiting almost a year.
