Morning all, bloody freezing today, not putting the heating on though, prices gone through the roof today. Got a gas plant right on my doorstep and it still costs a fortune.
Our only proviso is that we will take the other clique as hostages without any bloodshed if at all possible.

Morning all. It snowed again overnight. Bloody freezing but I've got the heating on. Just for an hour to warm the place up. I have however turned into my Dad. Everything gets unplugged and turned off at night. No more leaving the TV on standby and I have used the immortal phrase 'it's like Blackpool lights in here'. @jazzy I feel your pain about the committee. I experienced similar trouble trying to get people to be Union reps. Nobody would put themselves forward so we too took a proactive approach and asked people who we thought would be good. The Civil Service union is pretty good for women representation but when we used to attend the Northern Regional TUC meetings it was always a sea of middle aged white men. Not that I have anything against that demographic but it wasn't proportionate to their membership a lot of the time. The UCATT ( construction industry) Regional Secretary was an absolute dinosaur. Barefoot pregnant and in the kitchen was his attitude to women!
Waiting to board my last flight if the day Frankfurt to Manchester ….. I’ve travelled a lot in the last few weeks time to stop … well after a trip to the cancer ghoul who wants to poke a needle and scissors where the sun don’t shine on Tuesday … but let’s pretend that’s not happening ha ha
The Saudi bank honoured me with a traditional gathering of food and conversation seated around in cushions and rugs … very nice …. Even if one or two suggested I might convert to Islam !!!
My dad was full time regional secretary for UCATT in the south-west so that definitely resonates. Actually it sounds a bit like him , must be a generational thing ( I hope !)

Talking of where the sun don't shine, I'm having trouble starting to urinate, just started last week but I'm not having a finger up my bum I'll stand at the toilet for the extra minutes instead. It is obviously a prostate problem. I thought it might be my meds but makes no sense as I've been on the same meds for years.
