Mexico almost ended it. SA had a couple goal scoring opportunites and couldn't finish.

Didn't know France scored given the scoreboard wasn't on for 15 min. See ya SA thanks for bringing back Peanut in one piece.

And thankyou Peanut for not showing anything this tournament. I guess he will signing his new deal very soon.

He has done nothing to impress in my opinion.

Giovani Dos Santos continues to impress me. Still needs to work on his end product in the final third at times but his enthusiasm, workrate, movement and all round creativity has been very impressive during the competition. I wouldn't mind Everton having a look at him, especially on loan. A left footer who prefers the right handside aswell.

Pienaar has had a poor tournament, if he was trying to put himself in the shop window, he failed big time.

hats off to Uruguay, I have really been impressed with them this world cup. I suppose a congrats is order for Mexico as well... although it kind of feels like im congratuating liverpool... a bit difficult to do.

RE: DosSantos

Mexicans in cold wet rainy weather, I don't think its a good mix. Quality player, I just don't think he's a good fit on Everton or in the prem. That being said if he continues to struggle at Spurs and/or on loan if Moyes got him on the cheap I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him.

I picked Urugray to go to the Semis. It wasn't becasue I thought they we very good, its just that I had England playing them in QTs of my bracket and thought they'd take England to pens.

Ribery has impressed me today...i hated him before, but you can tell he is fed up with everything and is giving his all...and still selfless with that nice assist
