Not really true that though. it was allardyce that made him take time out to recover from his injury and he spoke openly about his depression following his injury and how the crowd getting at him was not helping.

He's not the answer on current form, but he's better than people on here, often never have actually seen him play live, would have you believe.

He's one of the worst defenders to ever pull on an Everton shirt mate.

I thought he played well 1st few games.

He was excellent for Burnley and played well for England. He is a really good lad too (friend in work has a relative who knows him).

He seemed to just mentally collapse last September and has never truly recovered.

Shame. I really want him to come good for us.

Tiler did not put a foot wrong for us.
Barrett was not bad at all defensively
Duffy, Browning and Hottiger played about 20 games combined for us and Duffy and Browning didn't even play badly in that time.
Galloway and Garbutt did well enough when they played
Oviedo was ok!
Kroldrup played 180 minutes for us, he was a bad fit more than a bad player
I agree that Epsen Baardsen was a poor defender, understandable seeing as he was a goalkeeper...

He reminds me of a slower, older kid who hangs around with younger kids on a BMX that is too small for him.

He "deserves" nothing.

But I guess it would be daft to just give up on him straight away and don't really have the numbers to do so anyway.

Our defence as a whole was all over the place last year. With Coleman ready to start the season, a left back who will close wingers down and has pace to recover and a strong centre back partner I’d expect a better showing from Keane.

Having players who will move and make themselves available for a pass will help the whole team.
