2021/22 Michael Keane

If, and it is a mighty if, West Ham are willing to give us £20 million for Keane I would be willing to nip over from Northern Ireland and run him down the road myself. While Tarkowski is an upgrade on what we have he is by no means quick. We now need some pace to cover for him, not that he gets caught out that often but then he wasn't playing for us. Playing Keane and Tarkowski wouldn't be my choice. If he is not going to play on a regular basis we need to move him on, he is to expensive to be a bench warmer. Mina looks like he will be moving on so we are down to Holgate, Godfrey and Braithweight. We don't know if Frank is going to go with 3 centre halves next season or a flat back four. If it is a four then I would prefer Godfrey, I think Tarkowski's experience could benefit him greatly. We aren't going to sort out all our issues in one window, in my opinion Tarkowski is the first step in sorting out the defence, that is to be welcomed. I would like to see Frank turning to midfield now, one quick defensive mid and one creative mid could see a significant improvement for next year.
Whatever we get for Keane + Mina in fees we need to bring in Colwill or possibly the boy from Hull, Greaves. Need that long term left footer.
Think his sale would be amongst the best Everton moments since the 2-0 win at Anfield. Up there with staying in the league.
The higher you go over £10mil the more epic it could get.
Well, if you're saying it, I definitely know it isn't true.
Haha masterclass of a post.
I’m one of the few but I’d like to see Keane back another season. I think he’s a decent option to have off of the bench.
Good lord.

That goal against Palace that changed everything up for us momentum wise was class. Has shown under Carlo flashes of being world class but last season wasn't great. I think he's worth keeping me.

Bye bye Michael :)

Fancast saying Hammers have enquired after him.
Whats a fancast when its at home?

Enquiry made: Moyes now looking to raid Everton for £69k-p/w 'sponge'; he's a big admirer

As per Football Insider, former Toffees manager Moyes is now interested in bringing to Keane to West Ham United this summer, as the Scot is a ‘big admirer’.

The Hammers have made an enquiry over the Englishman, with the view of potentially acting on their interest now that the window is officially open.

The verdict

With Tarkowski set to come in on a Bosman deal, the Blues can afford to let Keane go, especially if they can get a good price for him.

He is 29 years of age now, and so is likely to decline over the next few seasons, meaning that the summer is the optimum time to cash in.

Keane is currently earning £69,000-per-week, and it would also be handy for Frank Lampard’s team to get those wages off of their books.

if we can get him off the books & have someone pay for him, and bring in Tarks for about the same p/w amount that would be some good business.
Not sure about this, but I read somewhere Tarkowski is at 100K/w at Burnley, doubt if he would come down to 70k/week. As I mentioned, I am not sure whether I read it or dreamt it, so take it as what it is, unsubstantiated tale-in-the-wind. Though, I will try to nail down the source if I can.

EDIT: Haaa!!! I got played by someone (won't get into details, due to embarrassment at getting played :p). As I looked up details, it says Tarkowski was at 70K/week at Burnely before being released. My bad!!!!

I think Burnley’s top earners are only on around £40k per week. It looks like we’ll be doubling tarkowski’s wages coming here.

3 top earners at Burnley are Mee, McNeil and Tarkowski who are on around 70 grand a week though with relegation clauses maybe down to 35 grand a week, probably why about 7 or 8 want out.
