2022/23 Michael Keane

Dyche was looking for an excuse to bring Keane back into the team. Coady had a bad spell. It was always going to happen.

Coady was really good v Arsenal. Struggled a bit v RS (but no worse than anyone else at the back that night), solid v Leeds and then seemingly dropped for falling for that Buendia dummy v Villa.

Is that really enough to keep him out of the team for two months? The only clean sheet in that time is Brentford I think so not like the backline has been that amazing.

It's crazy that you can't get from him a consistent 90 minutes performance. Whilst I don't think that playing mina would have make a difference as the issue is scoring, Mina deserves better and should have had at least an opportunity to prove himself to the new manager.

Keane is poor, no doubt about it, but Mina deserves nothing. He's proved his commitment levels.

What are you on about? He wasn't driven out at all. He casually danced towards the exit counting his gold coins ages ago.

Spurs played Ledley King whenever he was fit as he was their best centre back whenever he was able to get on the pitch.

We on the other hand, drop our best (injury prone) defender by a mile for Coady and then Michael (I concede 2 goals a game) Keane.

His "commitment" has seen him dive head first between and in front of opposition players boots and the ball.

Literally our best player and should have the Ledley King treatment.

Otherwise, how is DCL on the pitch and not Mina?

Ledley King had heart. Ledley King played through the pain barrier. Ledley King didn't roll over when he made a mistake. Ledley King wanted to play even though he's probably suffering for it now.

Mina has been quite happy to take his money. If he wouldn't show heart with a contract he certainly won't show any now. DCL is completely different. He has a contract. If he can play and show fitness at least we could sell him.
