I'm shocked that we have bought supposed better replacements for Keane and Holgate who have got us a worse against expected goals than we had last season and secondly the majority of fans actually believe the defence is sorted. The defence is actually worse than it was last season and the attack is significantly worse.

Holgate and Keane were part of a partnership who had the club 2nd in the league on boxing day 2 years ago under ancelotti with one of the best defensive records in the league and Keane is a much better goal threat from set pieces than tarkowski and coady.

But people only like to remember the hard times for Keane last season where he got zero protection from a weak central midfield. Whereas the current backline get significantly better protection but are actually performing worse as xg suggests.
Keane has been a good player for us, yeah of course he has had his moment's but they all have, but his time at Everton has been good, especially when you look at the standard of the squad.
Take last season for example, Richarlison going for weeks without scoring was a much bigger problem then Keane making the odd error.
A lot of the negativity towards him is just witch hunt nonsense.

About 9 more years on his contract I think. Or 3. In any case it's [number of years left] too many. Good work on extending his contract Everton, brilliant business.
Bit when they extended it he was playing well then improved afterwards, it's not like them giving Gordon one now.

Honest question. Out of Mina, Keane and Holgate if we had to keep one who would it be?
Personally, I think Mina is the better player but so injury prone he is out of the equation.
That leaves Holgate and Keane.........for me 10 times out of 10 the choice is Keane.
The decision is who can we get rid of? Do we have enough adequate cover with Godfrey fit again?

For me Holgate, he is younger and give it a season or half get more money.

Also get Branthwaite back.

I would bring Keane back into the lineup. Its clear that coady and tarkowski are no better with 6 goals conceded In the last 2 games that we haven't been parking the bus. Keane offers more in attacking set pieces and needs to be put back in
