I'd say the only time you'd ever want to play him is when the plan is to go no further than the 18-yard box under any circumstances.

I would suggest that for some of our away games, that wouldn't be the worst strategy? If we genuinely think we are going to get hammered, why not play Keane, and Mina and Godfrey etc. plug the pitch with defenders so even if we still get beat we cut the goals against down.
it may well come down to goal difference this season, so getting beaten by Man City or the rs is fine provided it isn't by three and four goals! Then try our best to get wins at Goodison.

He certainly isn’t as bad as people make him out to be, but I don’t think our backline is the problem. Our lack of fullback play and striker up top is the problem at the moment.
