2024/25 Michael Keane

He didn't set his own wages, somebody offered and snatched their hand off.
On a personal note; unless we're down to 9 outfield players and all the other subs have been abducted by aliens, I'd rather he didn't kick another ball for us.
Listen...I agree if clubs are stupid enough to give players these wages then that's on them.

But it's also an example of what's doing on in the game.

I know it's against the grain, but if Keane is looking sharp in training and over his horror show it might still be the more logical percentage call to go with him here. O brien has barely played for us at cb and Keane only conceded 4 in 7 games in his previous 7 starts. A confidence player who was not ready to come on last week.
In the league we conceded 9 in his last 7 starts and only won 1 of them. (Ipswich, while also losing to saints and drawing with Leicester).

In his last 38 starts (so a full seasons worth which you have to start back at 12/12/21) we have won 7. And conceded 75.

Can look as sharp as he wants in training but the stats are stark.

Yeah, until the next one? It’s definitely not logical to weaken the mindset and ability of the entire defence and goalkeeper by putting a massive Jonah in the spine of the team.

I'm just saying I'm still not convinced o brien will do it at centre back and Keane is more established there at this level. I see no issue trying to play JOB there today as our position is fine but I wouldn't be shocked if Moyes sees it differently

Doesn't matter how good he looks in training, cacks his pants when there are fans in and the noise is loud. Only good season was behind closed doors in COVID. Doesnt have the mentality to play at prem level.

Hundreds of thousands of Everton fans have seen it over a large enough sample size to know that when he's in the team, we are vulnerable.

Lol do you have amnesia?

Not a fan of him at all but is a very average defender would say his level is in the bottom of prem top of chanpionship. Maybe even do better in another country where the game is slower less physical. Has needed a move from us for a long time, he has had good games problem is cant deal with pace at all and one mistake and his head goes.

Too reasonable that mate.

You're supposed to call him 'keggers' and forget the vital goals he's come up for us on occasion.

The baying mob say so.
