2024/25 Michael Keane

The only reason this Keane thread is getting battered again is that all the Moyes believers want to deflect from the appalling job he did today.

Neither goal was Keane's mistake. First goal was down to Branthwaite dawdling by appealing for off side rather than getting across that near post area to cut out the cross coming in; second goal was down to Garner and Iroegbunam failing to pick up Kovacic on the edge of the box.

He did fail to deal with a punt upfield and that was it.

Scapegoated to allow Moyes to get away with his appalling 'tactics' and substitutes.
Think that’s harsh on Branthwaite, he stepped up and neither Keane or O’Brien followed suit, I assume he’s down that as it drilled but in the absence of Tarkowski Keane was late but there now excuse for O’Brien.
Did think Keane didn’t do much wrong but I do think there’s little faith in him amongst his teammates.
Moyes did again play for a draw / nicking a goal on the counter when City looked like they were there for the taking. But tbf if he’d gone more attacking initially maybe they wouldn’t have looked so blunt.

It really is like the Twilight Zone with you Dave sometimes, it really is.

He wasn't too bad start of the season.

Being generous today was just a mediocre CB who hasn't played for months coming in cold against a top class attack.

The big Keane problem even when he's been fine himself is he just makes others around him nervous and they play worse as a result. I think Dave's OTT post actually shows that with Branthwaite's level immediately dropping when it isn't Tarks around him talking.

He will be gone soon enough finally.

I wouldn't take that much time to reply to him, part of me thinks he's that nutter Dave Kelly.
