For me it is like when we signed Jags.
Moyes had made him the no1 priority that summer and for £4m he was a bargain though not one many where excited about.
Almost a decade later he has proven to be one of the sounded pieces of business in that time.
In 08/09 he was arguably the finest defender in the league.

So I hope we can add Keane this window and give him time to settle into the club ahead of next seasons title push

I have no doubt he'll be good for us if he joins. Just not exciting for me. Like signing a defensive midfielder! (Which admittedly Gana has changed quite a lot my opinion on those).

I always like signing a solid CH. I agree that when we got Lukaku that was amazing, but I think we have quite a few attacking weapons.
Defending set pieces is our Achilles heel still.

100% Agree with you, from what I have seen he is pretty good. The kid is young and moldable and could become one of our top defenders given time

When he goes it will be to a CL league side, none of them have what you'd call a great defence looking forward.
My money would be in him ending up next to Stones at City

He can play but not to the levels Stones did he.

He defends first and foremost. Like a young Jagielka but better in the air.
