A well organised, disciplined and stable defence can be more than the sum of it's parts. See Keane at Burnley and Burnley in general. But tonight wasn't down to any system. He was garbage, pure and simple. Everybody knows he's not got the best of partners but that's no excuse for tonight.

It really was one of the worst centre back performances I've seen in a very very long time. I said to my son I thought he had been on the ale all day. Couldn't turn, didn't know when to stay or go, got turned with ease about 6 times, absolutely shocking performance and was simply unacceptable. In a back line with Holgate, Williams and Cuco and he was the worst x1000
