What an absolute [Poor language removed] joke.

I might throw a paving slab at someone and cry about how it wasnt me.

Even though 3 witnesses said it was him.

I misread that news, Straw claims only the Bulgarian authorities have to power to release him. However on BBC news just now his family hope to have him for Christmas

Talk about injustice. This lad should be let out. Someone else already admitted to it then [Poor language removed] himself and withdrew his statement. I know he's a red but he's still a scouser. He didn't do it so why hold him.

3 witnesses claim they saw him do it.

A hotel porter also said that he was in fact in the hotel, plus the muppet Graham Sankey that wrote the confession, then said he was on about another brawl - so he coincidently belted someone's head with a brick in a different fight that night?!...

Either way, it was a drunken brawl, [Poor language removed] happens.

About 7 years ago I had my head smashed off the kerb a couple of times by some squaddies in a fight I didn't start (didn't try and avoid though either) - night in the hospital, plenty of stiches and couldn't hear from one ear for months - but I wouldn't expect them do spend 15 years in jail for it...

I don't believe anyone was actually intending to have it kill me and I don't think this was the case with the brick/slab/rock here either...

A lot of fights happen every Friday and Saturday night, people get belted with bottles, pool cues or whatever might be laying about - like the side of the road!... Assault or GBH, sure. But attempted murder it's not.

Millions of people have confessed to crimes they didnt actually commit! Usually insane people but normal people do as well, doesnt mean they are always guilty.

Although i dont know why this other guy did admit to the crime and then withdraw it? Anyone?

Did the Bulgarian authorities investigate his confession? Have the british authorities done the same?

by all accounts it was a gang of seven liverpool fans who had kicked ten bells out of him and then when he was already incapacitated on the floor - i.e the fight had been won, someone comes along and drops a paving slab on his head.

sounds like attempted murder to me, unless you are so dimwitted that you don't realise this could kill someone.

[Poor language removed], one punch can kill someone, let alone a paving stone dropped on your head, when you cant even shield your head with your hands.

It was me, I did it.

You see I have just claimed that it was me, dosnt make it [Poor language removed] true tho does it?

Their was a couple from warrington or Widness who was eating at the place, at the time of the incedent. They both pointed him out in the trial.........

So........

How the [Poor language removed] was'nt it him!! If he gets out, what a [Poor language removed] joke!!

the tragedy is people feel the need to kick [Poor language removed] out of someone.

makes me ashamed to be english sometimes, the way we behave abroad.

for that reason I do my best to steer clear of the english resorts in foreign countries.

What are you proving when its six, seven or ten people against one?

Does to me too. or at very least, sounds like a dangerous, nasty piece of work who shouldn't be on the streets. Don't know if it was him or the other guy who admitted to it initially. whoever it was should be locked up for a long time
