Transfer Rumour Michy Batshuayi

Enner Valencia on loan was genuinely the most humiliating signing we’ve ever made.

.... Valencia himself wasn't terrible, I'd suggest the idea of getting a player on loan from West fecking Ham was the most humiliating aspect of all that.

The day we signed Stracqualursi and Drenthe on loan was the most embarrassing moment in Everton transfer history in recent memory.

FTR I reckon he'd have been a great signing for us, never really had a run of games in the PL... But I bet he does well at Monaco! Times will tell!

So Campbell, Yakubu, Rooney, Jeffers, Cottee, Beardsley, Donavon and Johnson were all 'poor to average at best'.

OK mate.
Campbell 45 goals in 145 games. Yakubu 25 in 82. Beardsley 25 in 81. Rooney 25 in 98. Johnson 17 in 61. Donavan 2 in 17. Cottee 72 in 184. Jeffers 18 in 67 all those you mentioned the best was record was Johnson with 17 goals in just under 2 seasons worth of games, yea but your right we've been blessed with top strikers over the years. Forget Bat's show Neymar that list and he'll be bursting for a move.

I think you'll struggle to find exactly where I said that Everton have been blessed with top strikers. It was you who said poor to average at best about a group of players including England's record goal scorer, and have now produced some highly selective stats to back up your claim.

It's OK to admit you know nothing about football. Some of us have already realised.

Being entirely honest, I'm unsure if Batshuayi is what I'd desire as our long-term, primary option upfront. Yet, I do feel he could be part a greater transfer strategy.

If the reported £14m is correct, then I certainly do believe he'd been an improvement over Niasse and potentially Tosun if we adhere to our current style of play.

So in the short term, it would potentially support our attacking option and if we then brought in a top quality striker, we'd have a greater quality and variety up front.

Next season, Player X (whoever that would be), Richarlison, Batshuayi and DCL would bring much more confidence than Richarlison, Tosun, Niasse and DCL.

Yeah that’s about where I am with this
